1688.0. "PSCM 3.0 & PSC 1.0, Error: Versions of messages are incompatible" by COPCLU::NISSEN (The Magic Touch) Fri Jan 31 1997 05:17
Hi,
Our Operation Control Center (OSC) have a problem with
PSCM 3.0 and PSC 1.0.
They are running the PSC part on Windows NT 4.0 (yes, we know it's
not supported).
The problem is that they are unable to connect to the PSCM host.
In the INSPECT$PORTAL.LOG we have found the following error messages:
30/01/97 09:43:56> Portal woken up ...
30/01/97 09:43:56> Accepted a connection from node: 192.169.101.102
30/01/97 09:43:56> Portal going to sleep ...
30/01/97 09:44:09> Portal woken up ...
30/01/97 09:44:10> Address: 0 Error: Versions of messages are incompatible
30/01/97 09:44:10> Disconnecting channel ... Address: 0
30/01/97 09:44:10> Reason for disconnect: Versions of messages are incompatib
30/01/97 09:44:10> Portal going to sleep ...
Is this a problem related to Windows NT 4.0 and/or is there
a workaround/solution to this problem.
We have not tried on Windows 3.1 (who wants to use that).
Regards
