A customer complains that he cannot access his Rdb database anymore, receiving
an error "error obtaining field info".
He is using DATATRIEVE V7.1, no CDD, Rdb V6.1 and DTR Client V1.1 for Windows
NT. He says that it has worked and that he is still able to ready the database
from the VMS account. He is also able to access some others databases from the
same environment.
Being asked about environment changes he answers that the only thing that change
is that they've installed PATHworks on the PC.
As he can access other databases and that this database is quiet big, I suspect
a kind of quota problem or a limit, maybe around the communication. Is anybody
aware of such limitations ?
Another way to look to the problem would be to obtain a more detailed problem
description. But I don't know of any way to do so: log file, enabling trace, ...
Anybody for help ?
