Hello! I see from note 2910 that this problem occurred in V7.0 of DECDatatrieve. I have a customer who is running OpenVMS V6.2 on an Axp and is attempting to install V7.1 of DECDatatrieve. He gets the error that LSE is not installed and it fails. What should I check? Is there posibly something in Sys$specific which should not be and does anyone have any ideas what we should look for? Thanks very much! Laurie

I suspect that some file that dtr is trying to link with is already linked with lse. | |||||

I had the customer re-try the installation using options K as part of the install. It showed a problem with 'undefsymbol..fdv$aterm'. He had indicated support for FMS, but had an expired license for the product. I had him indicate no support for fms and it installed without error. Module fdv$plitrm was not in Starlet.olb as it should be where fdv$aterm is included. He will have to re-install FMS at some point if he wants to use it with DTR. |
