3516.1 | details? | HNDYMN::MCCARTHY | A Quinn Martin Production | Wed Apr 02 1997 14:39 | 11 |
| Your question was clear (to me at least) - my guess is that no one knows the
answer.
Actually:
>>This customer refers to the existence of it on VMS.
Could you give more details on this? What package for TCP/IP (etc!) exists
for OpenVMS?

3516.2 | class library for ftp, repeat note 3516 | BRSADV::BUGGENHOUT | | Mon Apr 21 1997 10:52 | 23 |
| Hoi
As I do not know if notes are closely followed up and my first question
already dates form 27 march I would like to repeat this with some
extra info :
"" I do not know anything about all this but got the question anyway. A
customer is looking for a class library (=template ?) for the use of ftp ( or
more in general perhaps tcp/ip) on Digital UNIX. They have C++ so if this
library exists is it to be installed separately or is it included but perhaps
they do not know where to search for it ...
Hope my question is clear """
Extra info ; in fact they just want to implement a simple ftp transfer :
make the connection, supply username and passwd and then put or get files.
Is there any class library ( or just C API ) providing this ? Pointer to
third party is welcome too
Thanks

3516.3 | Rogue Wave has a C++ class library | DECC::J_WARD | | Mon Apr 21 1997 11:32 | 16 |

You might have them look into Rogue Wave's library
Inter.Net.h++. One of the Supported Protocols is FTP.
For more info, look on Rogue Wave's home page,
http://www.roguewave.com
From there you can get a product overview.
Here's a quote:
"Inter.Net.h++ works in combination with the network
classes in Net.h++ to provide functionality that is
portable between Windows and Unix. Its object-oriented
interface reduces the complexity of your code and lets
you quickly add FTP, HTTP, SMTP and POP3
capabilities to your C++ client application"
