Are there any issues regarding the use of automatic template
instantiation on OpenVMS systems that do not MMS installed?
Cheers,
/Damian
I have found nothing in the release notes, the "Using DEC C++ on
OpenVMS Systems" or in this conference.

Specifically, does CXX or CXXLINK require that MMS be installed in
order to determine whether or not new template instantiations need to
be generated - the Using DEC C++ document does talk about the tools
checking the modification dates on files - does this mean that a
customer must have MMS installed?

The SPD does not list MMS as a requirement. The modification date checking is all done within the compiler. bjm | |||||
