    I would have to say that it did help me to look at peoples dramas. It's
    easier to not get caught up in one if you know that they are trying to
    take your energy. I read it once. Then last year when my brother died
    and I had to travel to meet my family. For some unknown reason I
    grabbed that book to read on the plane. I think it helped because I was
    going back into my family dyamics. It helped me to look at my parents
    and to understand how they work. I took a good look at them with a
    different perspective. They were trying to interrogate me when I was
    alone with them in the car. It was much easier not to get caught up in
    it. Also in the plane on the way a girl sat next to me. Guess what she
    was reading....she told me her father was a doctor and he wanted her to
    read this book.  I haven't read the 10th insight yet.

After reading the Celestine Prophecy, I had a different look on what I
used to call "coincidental encounters" with either people I know, but
hadn't seen for a long time, or with people I didn't know.

Nowadays, I try to find out why I'm meeting these people (again), what
usefull information I have for them, or they have for me.
More and more, I'm convinced that, as in the book, coincidence has a 
purpose.


What I also recognised in the book, is that nature is a vast source of
energy. Seeing, and being in a beautiful landscape (the mountains, the sea,
the plains, ...) indeed recharges your energy.

As for energy-stealing, there is also energy-giving, which I experience
every time I have a foot-massage. The masseur connects with the earth
energy and passes it onto you, a great feeling, but so is the foot-massage
itself (relaxing, energy-giving).

    what a co-incidence to find you inhere, and having read the same
    book(s?) that I read? ;-)
    
    Frankly I have not yet finished the book yet, but having never believed
    in co-incidence before in my life, it's always nice to see confirmation
    of one's own thoughts.
    
    Anyone inhere can really "see" the energy?

    It is just a brain-washing book made for bored people that are willing
    to believe everithing that can break their human boredom and fears.

    It's nice to have our brains washed out every once in a while!  It
    leaves a clean place for new ideas!

    I can feel the energy, and have done energy work on people's energy
    fields on occasion.  It's always fun when I work on skeptics and they
    get their first experience of feeling the energy too...the look on
    their faces is priceless.  (;^)  
    
    Last year I was down in Brazil in a jewelry shop museum where there 
    was this massive crystal (1ft.x3ft.).  I was scanning it with my 
    hands to see where the stronger spots of energy were on it, and some of
    my tour mates were observing this rather strange happening.  One asked
    what I was doing, and was brave enough to scan her hands over the areas 
    I was scanning.  She felt the difference right away.  So she had her
    friend come over, and her friend felt it too.  In contrast, another 
    fellow was making these rather typical skeptical comments and poking 
    fun at the whole thing...interestingly enough, when I asked him if he 
    wanted to try too, he declined.  
    
    I've seen the energy occasionally too, but haven't seen auras...at 
    least not yet.

    	You know, it's strange.... We all have this ability, some are
    obviously more experienced at understanding what the feelings coming to
    us are saying. But you can tell when someone is sending you positive
    feelings, you can tell when something like a plant is not healthy. You
    receive all kinds of sensory data, just open yourself to it all (or as
    much of it as you can take, sometimes its just too much!), and you have
    a richer, fuller, more powerful mastery of your life.
    	
    	....Don't be one of those who let the verbage turn you off. Try it!

And they have a companion calendar out - with an insight a month. Like a Cliff 
Notes for the book!

This is another book of the times, I also highly recommend the Kryon Channel 
books, which continue the energy discussions and transformation of the Earth 
and Her People at this time.....coming into the new Millenia.

Comments on the Insights:
I am also now more clear on interactions with people - chance and known folks. 
And the energy effects (someone raises your vibration or drawns it - look 
out!). With raising my own level, now I'm a sometimes a beacon for those 
needy, even if they don't consciously do it, it happens.

As far as seeing energy - this can point to a new 'organ', the third eye,
which for me is a blend of feeling and seeing (we need new vocabulary here).
Knowing things without knowing how. 

Also, energy can be felt with the hands, like Cindy said. I check out fruit 
now (which orange is lively-est?). TT (theraputic touch) is similar, where a 
person's energy field is analyzed and worked on with hands at a short 
distance. All the new/old methods - Reiki, polarity work, etc are different 
ways of working with the love energy.

To echo Piet - foot massages are the best aren't they? It's like a total body 
work up.
