2116.0. "A dream or a vision??" by STOWOA::PPARKER () Tue May 21 1996 18:08

I had an unusual experience Saturday am (4AM) to be exact while trying
to sleep. I was lying on my back and suddenly was aware that my
deceased mother was sitting on my bed on my left and smiling at me.
She looked exactly as I remember her at around 50 years of age (my age
in fact now) She died about 18 years ago and I have missed her very
much as we were quite close. Lately I have been struggling with many
aspects of my life and that night I was quite sad over a dying
relationship and unable to sleep. I have told a few people about this
experience and they think I was dreaming but I was conscious enough to
try and speak to her and to move my body. I couldn't move but I did
manage to relay (by thought) that it was so nice to see her. I then
felt a tap on my right foot and I was able to move again.

I actually felt quite comforted by having "seen" her. Does anyone have
a similar experience and input as to whether this was a vision or a
    dream or what?

    Thanks in advance.

Pat two years ago I had gone down to visit my brother who had been in a
very bad car accident. He surived the accident, and I was able to stay
    with him for awhile.
When it was time for me to return back to my home in Manchester N.H. I
had very mixed feelings. I was really afraid to leave my brother and
come back home... infact I didn't want to go back home again.
Needless to say I went to the airport and boarded the plane. I was very
said in my heart, I felt lonely but didn't really know why.
As we had started leveling off, after take off I looked out the window
of the plane and believe this or not, I saw my mother who had been dead
for the last three years. She simply smiled and I could actually hear
her say " Everything will be alright Cal" in my mind.
I truely believe she was there to comfort me, and to tell me to return
to my home because there were things for me to do in my life. I swear
she is my guardian angel, and is always with me.

    HI

I'll agree, there are things that at first glance, can't be explained.
I believe that really was your mother's essence/soul/spirit there with
you, at a most needed time. I have had a few contacts with close people
who have passed to the other side. Angel is the word, or spirit guides.

2116.3Thanks for your responsesSTOWOA::PPARKERThu May 23 1996 12:2520
Thank you both Carol and Susan for sharing your experiences with me. I
told my teenagers and a friend of mine and of course, they kind of
looked at me strangely. Funny though, I was told about six years ago
by a palm reader that I had a guardian angel who had saved me from a
couple of narrow escapes already and knowing my mother, it had to be
her! She was one in a million where mothers are concerned. My small
suburu was hit by a drunk driver on 495 during rush hour about three
years ago. I was turned around backwards (in the passing lane) and
managed to end up on the median grass strip in the middle. No seat
belt and not a mark on me! My car was totaled. Someone was definitely
watching over me! Also, about a week ago I had a dream with my mother
in it and I gave her a hug (which I can tell you I can still feel) and
told her again how nice it was to see her. She never really "talks" to
me, its just me talking to her.

If you have any more experiences, I would love to hear them.

    Thanks again,

    Pat
