After reading the "White Tomb" (#2016) I have to tell you about a wierd experience I had with my sense of smell. This sounds so wierd, just thinking about it. When my twin and I got our first summer job, we'd walk to work passed a florist. We decided to send roses to our grandmother. The night she got them she called to say how surprised she was. You could say I expected to hear from her, I'd be lying if I said otherwise, but when I answered the ringing phone I was *BLASTED* with the scent of roses, which I don't particularly case for. Why did this happen during a phone conversation, I don't know? My grandmother died that December quite unexpectedly. When I walked into the doors of the funeral home I was *BLASTED* again with the odor of roses, only this time they were really there.

I have a friend who smells roses just before they find out about a death of someone close to them. Does your twin have these same sensations? That would be very interesting. | |||||

No, sorry, we've never had any "twin" experience. Sometimes she will call me on the phone to say she heard me call her name, and that she is checking in. But I haven't been thinking of her or "calling" her. I've only "heard" her call my name a couple of times, and it turns out she wasn't "calling" me, either. She was really hoping something would "happen" when I went into labor with any of my kids, but nothing happened then, either. She says if she dies first she will come to visit me on her way out of this "plain", I've asked her not to, knowing her she'd put a slight bent on the visit and scare the poop out of me. |
