2009.3 | no joke, but for entertainment only | ABACUS::MACDONALD_M | The Tincture Tree | Wed Nov 09 1994 17:11 | 15 |

Nope, no joke. It's part of my homework from a course I'm taking. I've
used both the balm and the oil and have had feedback from others
ranging from 'no dreams/difference at all' to 'it was too much for me'.
I did not create this formula, it is the one I use for making dream
pillows. Many herbal catalogs, and stores offer both dream pillows and
dream balms though the formulas are all different. I've not seen any
dream oils for sale.
Disclaimer: This product is not designed to replace medical or
psychological therapy, nor should it be used in the hopes of solving
emotional issues. It is simply something I've made for fun and should
be used as such. I am not responsible for any negative dreams/effects.

2009.5 | Mugwort Power! | PKHUB1::MROPRT | | Wed Nov 16 1994 09:34 | 10 |
| Mugwort seems to be the activating ingredient! Tried it last Saturday
night and had a very intense dream! Hard to remember, but it involved
the old trying to run uphill and your legs seem too heavy to lift!
Woke up drenched in sweat! I think mugwort is strickly for weekends!
P.S. New to this file! Monitoring has been a blast! I was wondering
where all the seekers were at DEC.

One thing I wonder about is are people's imaginations, thoughts, urges
to understand the universe etc related to our left brain, right brain
orientations. If this is so, does left handedness indicate a
predispositioning toward challenging norms?

No, being left handed is merely sinister.

2009.9 | | WMOIS::CONNELL | I will do thee mischief in the wood. | Mon Nov 21 1994 19:20 | 26 |
| Well, i've tried the product for the last several nights. Although I
haven't had any of the extremely interesting dreams that I've had in
the past (yet :-) ), my dreams have been a bit more realisitic then
usual. hhhmmmm Perhaps realistic isn't the right word. My dreams are
usually real seeming, but these were a bit more then most. As with most
of my dreams, they fade in the morning and I can't remember much of
what went on. I expect this to change. I placed the oil on the pulse
points of my wrists and on my temples too. I also placed some of it on
my chakra points. This didn't prompt anything spectacular until last
night. I just placed some on the above mentioned pulse and temple
points. However, this time instead of all 7 chakra points, I only used
the crown and the heart chakras. I also noted the the full moon began
waining last night. She is releasing her energy back to the Earth as
she fades through this cycle.
While the dreams weren't anything more intense, prior to falling
asleep, with my eyes shut and total pitch blackness in the room,
continuous swirling and flashing points of white light were visible to
me. I've had this effect before, but not while conciously trying to
cause a reaction. Hopefully this will continue and the dreams will
become spectacular as time moves on. I need a good spectacular dream
lately. (Not wet dream either folks, so no cracks :-) )
Bright Blessings,
PJ

I apologize for the time it's taken me to get some of these out! The
last of the samples will be in the mail on Friday (11/25) If you get
duplicates pass one on! Somewhere along the way things got a little
confusing for me... I had so many responses.
Also...if you're planning on replying with feed back over the system,
please hold off till Dec. 5 as I'll be out for the next week.
Thanks!

2009.11 | How do they work? | ROMEOS::TREBILCOT_EL | | Mon Nov 28 1994 23:43 | 12 |
| Maybe this is appropriate for another topic...but I was recently in
Arizona and saw, for the first time, a dream pillow. I sniffed it,
smelled like a satchet. Anyway, before this particular note I'd never
heard of such a thing. I was wondering. Do they really work. And
on what premise?
The olfactory lobes do go into the sleep state, although they are the
last part of the body to shut down and the first to wake up.
curious...

2009.12 | Dream Pillows are Wonderful! | ABACUS::MACDONALD_M | The Tincture Tree | Mon Dec 05 1994 14:01 | 9 |
| The first time I made one, I had a hard time sleeping with it as I'm quite
sensitive to strong smells but once I got used to it I find I have
a difficult time sleeping without one. I use Rosemary Gladstar's
recipe and just love it! One word of caution though, don't keep one in
your car as it will tend to cause drowsiness.
Contact me off line if you'd like more info.
