1976.0. "We've met before, haven't we?" by NPSS::CREEGAN () Wed Jul 27 1994 16:34
Just an interesting story...
One of my classmates in college looked very familiar,
finally I approached her and asked her if she was from
my hometown. Yes, she was and I looked familiar to her,
too! Oh good, now we needed to figure out how we had
bumped into each other in the past.
She wasn't from my section of the city
(population 90,000+)
I went to private school, she went to
public school.
She didn't go to the same summer camps or
after school programs while we were kids
(girl scouts, YWCA, etc.)
She didn't belong to the same religion
so we didn't bump into each other at
a church affair.
We'd never worked for the same people or
business'.
Well, we exhausted everything we could think
of jointly. Finally I said I was born on
April 15th at Lowell General Hospital, how
about you? Her mouth dropped, she was born
at Lowell General Hospital on April 14th.
WE WERE CRIB-MATES! That was the only thing
in common we could find. We laughed and I
told her we probably were staring at each
other through those glass bassinets because
we were bored and had nothing else to do.

That's great!!!
I actually found a person I was hospital cribmates with too - he
and I met as teenagers while doing youth volunteer work. We lived
in separate but adjoining towns, different schools. Birthdays one
day apart, same hospital. We did not have the same 'recognition'
of each other that you did though.

What fun it was read your story! I live in Sunnyvale CA and I am
from Lowell, MA. Sure, I believe this! Nothing is by chance! I met
a man recently on a trip to Brazil. He was from Iceland... and
we both agreed we knew each other "before"...long story...but
fascinating!

1976.4 | The Celestine Prophecy... | POWDML::RAMSAY | | Mon Sep 12 1994 16:27 | 12 |
| In The Celestine Prophecy, which I'm currently reading and rereading,
it says that people who look familiar are part of our same thought
group. It also says that when two people's/strangers' eyes meet, one
has a message for the other.
And further, it says that every single person that comes into our
lives for however long (even for a moment) has a message for us and
we would do well to find out what the message is.
Interesting food for thought.
