   Ayurveda (the science of life) is a holistic approach to health and
   well-being.  It has been practiced in India for more than 5000 years.
   Ayurveda is part of the Vedas, the oldest record of universal wisdom 
   - humankind's experiences with nature and his harmonious coexistence
   with the environment.  This ancient healing system includes the use
   of a vast variety of herbs and oils, along with a proper diet and the
   practice of yoga and meditation.  It provides a spiritual and 
   philosophical basis for therapy and takes into consideration the body,
   mind, and soul.

   Dr. David Frawley is the director of the American Institute of Vedic
   Studies, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  He has a doctor's degree in oriental
   medicine and is associated with the Astanga Ayurveda College in India.
   Dr. Frawley is one of the few westerners to be recognized as a 
   Vedacharya (a Vedic scholar and teacher) in India.  He has been a
   practicing herbalist for over 18 years and he has written and 
   co-authored several books including:  "The Yoga of Herbs", "Ayurvedic
   Healing: A Comprehensive Guide", "Gods, Sages and Kings", and "From 
   The River of Heaven".

   Dr. Frawley will be available to answer questions at the end of the
   session.
