A couple of weeks ago my mother gave me a beautiful antique jewelry box
that belonged to her deceased mother. I found that attitude somewhat
unusual because it is not very typical of mother to give away things to
anyone. She said that she couldn't figure why but everytime she looked
at that box she knew that she had to give that to me.
Well, today is my 33th birthday. Early in the morning when I opened the
box to get my earings to come to work I heard my grandmother's voice
(inside my head, as if it was my conscience) asking me if I liked the box!
I reacted very calmly (not my style), said I did like and asked her
very casually and out loud if she had seen Guilherme (my 1 year old son)
in his crib already (for they never met in this life).
I heard nothing else but perfectly understood that she - wherever she
is - hasn't changed, she will always get what she wants so she kept
insisting that I received her box.

| ....we followed my mother's funeral arrangement wishes to a 'T' for
precisely that reason. If we hadn't there wasn't one member of the
family that didn't believe she'd haunt us from the grave and we'd
never hear the end of it ;-) None of the family.....besides
me...has any sort of belief let alone interest in the physic sciences
but they all firmly believed that mother could reach out from the
hereafter!
