You might also try the WRO10C::FELINE notes conference.
Best wishes to you, your friend, and Buster, and hope that a reunion
happens in the near future. These things are so difficult.

| Cindy, thanks for your warm reply.
My friend has posted a notes in FELINE.
"These things are so difficult." -- I can't agree more. Attachments
to animals can be very strong. I will send along your wishes to my
friend.

One other thought - you may also try the CANINE conference (though
don't know where it's located.)

I wish I could get a "vibe" on where Buster is/was.
Thanks for the info.

I can fully understand how painfull it is and I really hope Buster will
come back soon.
I lost my cat 2 years ago. He was used to go out for a few hours but
that day he didn't come back as usually. I'm still dreaming on him, dreaming
that he is back (that's what happened tonight) and he still always miss me.
What is particularly difficult is not knowing what has happened ... he simply
disappeared.

| Sacha -- thank you for your kind words. My friend and I used to share
an apartment, and Buster grew up with me. I am as attached to him as
she is.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your cat. Did you try any methods to
locate him, ie; The Pendulum?

1883.7 | | HOO78C::ANDERSON | I'll have a pint of zythum! | Fri Sep 24 1993 11:49 | 13 |
| Shortly after we moved from the town to the country, one of our cats
got out in the night and got lost. As he was at that time an "indoor
cat" we were worried sick. So I know exactly how you feel. However we
found him after a couple of days and reunited him with his sister, who
sniffed him, cuffed his ears and spent the rest of the night washing
him.
When he went missing we contacted a charity which coordinates the lost
and found animals. They reassured us that most cats come home. I didn't
believe them but they were right. We'll just have to keep our fingers
crossed for Buster.
Jamie.

1883.8 | sounds hopeful | USPMLO::CASH | | Fri Sep 24 1993 16:13 | 21 |
| Jamie -- it was nice to read that "most cats come home". As I probably
mentioned, Buster left home on 9/11. He has been gone for a few days
at a time, but NEVER this long.
It was suggested to me by a fellow noter, to use the Pendulum method,
to get some direction on Buster. My friend tried it last night. She
was asking some direct questions, to get a "feel" for the swing and
motion. She had her favorite necklace, used to hang her favorite
gold charm, her favorite number, # 13.
The Pendulum swung in a positive direction when she asked if Buster was
still alive.
She is going to practice some more with the Pendulum, ask more direct
questions, and work on her technique. She's very excited, and is very
anxious to give it another try.
Thanks for the hopeful words.

1883.9 | Psychic Impressions of Buster | SWAM2::MCGANN_KA | | Tue Sep 28 1993 17:06 | 19 |
| T:
My husband and I tried to get some impressions during lunch today.
Here is what we picked up, don't know if any of it will help or even
make sense!
I keep cueing in on Precious, I'm picking up that she is pregnant and
therefore spending alot of time under the house. (Logically I'm
assuming "she" is fixed, but the impression is clear so there it is.)
Buster is staying away from home because of the soon to be kittens.
My husband sees Buster near Eucalyptus trees, no more than a mile from
the house. He is doing well, adapting to new environment. There are
other cats around. Buster (although neutered) is curious about sex.
The impression is that Buster has expanded his territory.
Hope it helps,
Kat

1883.10 | interesting impressions | USPMLO::CASH | | Fri Oct 01 1993 16:04 | 32 |
| Kat --
Interesting impression of Buster. Let me fill yo uin on the actuals.
"I keep cueing in on Precious, I'm picking up that she is pregnant..."
Precious has been "fixed". But there is another cat who lives in the
mail_family house, a calico, who had a few kittens about 2-3 months
ago. All the kittens have been given away.
"spending alot of time under the house..."
The mother cat ("Cali") spent some time in the house's basement. She
might have even had her kittens in the basement.
"My husband sees Buster near Eucalyptus trees..."
I don't know if there are these kind of trees in Westminster. I
thought they were unique to Australia and koala bears ... :-)
"Buster (although neutered) is curious about sex..."
Buster was always "marking" his territory around the house. At one
time, he went through a urinary tract problem with crystals in his
urine. But he was forever making his presence known with his scent.
Thanks for sending these impressions along. I have already forwarded
them to my friend, Elaine. I really appreciate you taking the time to
do this. It has been 20 days since he was last home. Precious (and
his mother) miss him very much.
