| Aside from the fact that Taurus and bulls are considered to be male,
your note has a tone which causes this reader to question its value.

| A "taurean individual" need not be male. Reread the note.

1788.5 | What good are two eyes if you don't have a brain? | COMET::ECKER | | Thu Jan 28 1993 03:26 | 13 |
| Value? Your view of the word value must be different then mine. I would
think Mike should reread the opening note. Expecially the very last
line. But considering I am a male (Taurean) who has an older sister who
is a Taurean. And I read more than just letters on an page. I'm sorry
Mike but to be most frank with you, I think your Ignorance far
surpasses your Intelligance.
Marilyn,
I'm glad to know there are some people who can understand. If it's
any help;"Alan Oken," has six books on astrology. You can write to him
for more information at P.O. Box 5574, Santa Fe, NM 87502. Or maybe the
library will have some of his books? I'll try to come up with more
later.

>I think your Ignorance far surpasses your Intelligance.
Apples and oranges comparison. Ignorance is lack of knowledge,
intelligence is the ability to think. It is quite possible to be very
intelligent and still totally ignorant of many things. For example you
may be intelligent, but you appear to be ignorant of the spelling of the
word intelligence.
Or perhaps I just misunderstood you and you were merely trying to be
insulting.
Jamie.

| Well, perhaps I deserved the insult in return for mine (complaining
about the tone).
In any case, you (author of .0) shouldn't jump to any hasty
conclusions about what I know or do not know about Taurus and the
Third Eye, or even assume that you know as much as you would like to
believe you do. There may be flaws in your understanding ... stick
around and Jamie will point them out to you :-). There are guaranteed
to be flaws in mine, but you don't know what they are, yet, so
assertions of my ignorance are at best premature.
By the way, not all of the noters in here are as abrasive and rude as
myself and Jamie. Why don't you sign in in the sign-in note, so the
more civilized participants can welcome you? :-) (sorry if you already
have -- I didn't recognize your name)

1788.8 | Just another opinion ... | DWOVAX::STARK | Sic transit gloria mundi | Thu Jan 28 1993 08:24 | 9 |
| I've read hundreds of entries by Mike in a dozen conferences,
and in my opinion he is neither ignorant in these matters, nor
unintelligent in any way I find discernable or meaningful.
I have very high regard for him. Not that it should mean anything
to anyone, just another opinion 'worth what you paid for it.' ;-)
kind regards,
todd

... I think. :-)
Anyway, to COMET::ECKER, you appear to have the spunk required to enjoy
participating in DEJAVU, so welcome! Be prepared for debate.

| Mazurka, go back to note 1788.6 maybe you'll catch on? At least by the
way the end of the note sounded, I think maybe even Jamie did???
Mike, don't take it to personally, I would like to think it's all in
fun. After all I don't want to make Todd upset just because we see
differently.
Back to the Topic of a "Third Eye" Tomarrow. I'll have more for you all
to profread. It's still in connection to Jamie's Topic "What does the
Third Eye really do????????????????????

1788.12 | Can you See without your Physical Eyes? | COMET::ECKER | | Wed Feb 10 1993 21:00 | 22 |
| There is a further important centre,in the middle of the forehead
between the eyes,at the site of what is sometimes called "the Third
Eye",this is involved in the higher mystical development of the psyche,
referred to in the ancient Chinese system of Tao as "the opening of
the Golden Flower",and even without such a complete development as that
it is employed spontaneously by many people in "SEEING WITH THE MIND'S
EYE." In the physical body, this corresponds to the position of the
pineal gland.
At each of these points there is, in the physical body, a particular
nerve centre or glandular centre. All of them, therefore, even at the
physical level are concerned in essential life functions;and because
they involve the psyche as well, at its instinctual, emotional or
mystical levels, we should expect them to have important counterparts
in the astral body.
These counterparts exist, and indeed they are most important. They are
not, however, mere replicas of the physical organs.
Corresponding to the physical points which have here been mentioned
(and to other points in the physical body as well), there are in the
astral body certain distinctive "organs," generally called Chakras or
Lotuses in Oriental occult systems, and "Centres of Activity" in
Western systems. Like their physical counterparts, these Centres of
Activity are vital Gates between the levels of existence.

See note 1138. Not all the entries are in there, but you'll get a good
impression...
And I can tell you that I feel particularly honored that *I* can point you
to the Tao.....

know what I mean.. ) :-)
