HI,
your note reminded me of a simialr problem that my husband and I
experience in our new house. What we inherited upon buying the
house was not a ghost but a common neighborhood electrical problem
that the Electric Company is stilll working on. Lights go off and
on in different rooms depending on which room is lit or not. Like
if the bedroom light is on and the hallway and the kitchen then
the current goes off down the line or sometimes all at one. But
is just one of these lights are on it looks like just one flicking of
and on.
And as far as the door goes.. we went throughthat is the last place we
lived until finally we had to put hook locks on some of them
to keep them closed. By sight everything looked straight and even..
but when we did some close measuring we found the dorways were
not even with the door infact the place in general was slighty off
and just enough so to keep the doors from shutting tight enough.we
had one mthat would slowly swing open and becasue of the imabalance
of the floor would at some point slowly shut again.
Just some possibilities that may be applicable to your home as well.

Hi,
Ghosts or spirits or whatever are not always or even often restricted to a
house or building, they may have a 'territory' of types which may have been
more easily dfinable some time in the past. For instance, the house you
mention was only nine years old, perhaps at some time in the past the
whole area including your house, the house across the street and the ski
field were all connected as a property or entity of sorts.
Anyway, if I'm to believe what I've heard, spirits have much greater mobility
than we would imagine, but perhaps they differ from 'ghosts'. I don't read
this conference often enough to know the accepted differences.
Anyway, what really fascinates me about your note is the 'turn that light on'
part when you yelled out and on the light came. That's great and quite
in line with recent opinion (my info in this area is a couple of years old -
good thing we're not talking computers). Wow.

| Hi,
Yes, ghosts can move from house to house. There are many types of ghosts
and many reasons for them to be around. The type of ghost you are describing
seems to have some degree of intelligence behind it, it is not just a holligram
image of another time.
Such ghosts can either be "stuck" in this world (sometimes by choice - they
refuse to go on, or they can have returned for a specific reason - usually
to help someone.
Ghosts can occupy neiborhoods as well as houses. It is entirerly possible that
if the ghost in the next store house mught come over to your house, espicially if
he felt that you were more sensitive (psychic).
I have lived in haunted houses, left them for a time and come back. Activity
in these houses always increases when I am there and has been know to follow
me to other locations. Vicious things don't happen around me - I don't attract
malicious ghosts, but I do seem to get the ones that are lost. If your friends
house is newly being haunted, just tell her to stay calm and try to ascertain
what type of apperition is occupying the place. Good ghost respond to a loving
atmosphere and malicious ones stay away from it.
Hope some of this helps.

My friend was not at all annoyed with her ghost. As a matter of fact,
she and her family gave it a name "Edyth". She didn't live in this
apartment, she owned it and was just trying to clean it up.
The whole ski area was sold, so she hasn't had any contact since.
Previous to my Light problem, the house across the street had some kind
of presence in the second floor apartment. Three different families
felt this presence. One saying that there was something in the hallway
at night that he was unable to pass to get to the bathroom. Another
saying that she heard something and thought it was her brother (her
brother didn't come home until much later than the time she heard
noise). The third family had a seance (Sp) and had no problems after
that. I can't remember the time-frame (whether my problem occurred
before or after the seance.

| Priscilla (.3),
Would you mind telling us some of what went on in your `haunted house?'
You also mentioned that the activity picked up whenever you returned to
the area. What type of things happened?

| I have a question..
Is there a way in watch an entity (sp?) or spririt can move from say
one place to another (say 10 mailes away) and say then 45 miles away
and maybe move with you accross country..
I know it sounds stupid , but *is it possible!?

If a spirit can move at all, whatever restrictions (if any) bind
it may be different for different spirits. Regarding ghosts, some
are supposed to be "stuck" to a spot because of some ntraumatic
experience; some can roam, oh, say, a house. Others (as per the
various Hallowe'en and Samhain legends) can wander anywhere they
want. Even a "bound" ghost, though, conceivably could move if it
was bound to a particular object that was easily transportable.

| I'm the originator of this note. I have moved to another facility.
One summer, we were playing around with a ouiji board. The girl who
was operating it asked about the haunt in my house. She said the
ghost's name was Sarah and she commited suicide because her boyfriend
left her. I asked the girl to contact "my" ghost. She came up with
the town of Dunstable (which is where I lived at the time). I never
told her that I used to live there. She was only 12-13 years old at
the time. I don't know if anyone else mentioned where I used to live.
