1205.0. "PSYCHIC PHENOMENA EN MASSE" by GUEMUS::HAYS_TE () Fri Jan 19 1990 18:57

I wanted to share a story that began when I was very young and
continued thru the first week of my daughter's life.

My father died when I was six, and we had been very, very close.
My life revolved around his work hours. It was not as devastating
as it might have been however because of my new friend. On the
night of Dad's passing, a new friend came to visit. He was an old
man with white hair, beard and warm face. I never actually saw
him, I just always knew what he looked like. He'd arrive in my
room after my sister had fallen asleep to talk. His voice was deep
and calming and seem to know everything! He was a real friend.
You know the type that will tell you to straighten up when that's
what you really need to hear. We discussed every question I had
about growing up, dealing with people, getting the math assignment
done I didn't want to do. As a child, I never questioned his regular
visits, he was my special private friend.

As I grew older and making more of my own choices in life, his visits
became fewer. I didn't "see" him again from the night before my
wedding until one night a year and a half later. Being pregnant
and in an emotional state anyway, I fell apart at the realization
that my new child would never meet her grandpa. We turned out the
lights, my husband fell asleep, and my friend was back to tell me
that I was getting upset over nothing. His visit brought back the
same calming effect it had as a child and I fell asleep. I dreamt
of my new little girl in great and later to be discovered, accurate
    detail.

As soon as we arrived home from the hospital with our new little
girl, out came the Polaroid. The first picture taken was mom and
baby. I was holding the child while standing in front of a blank
wall at least as far as we knew. As the picture developed, our
blank wall wasn't blank any more. In the right hand corner (directly
over my shoulder) was a head looking at the baby. A head I recog-
    nized instantly as my father's!

Now maybe all of this was brought about by my own emotional needs,
but I will always be grateful to my Special, Private, Friend!

What a heart-warming story! I wonder if your friend was one of
your spirit guides, there when you needed support, guidance, and
love the most.

Your story is really heart-warming! When I was six weeks old my great
grandmother died, she was very close to my older brother. My mother
told me a story about Jay running into the house telling my
mom that Nanny was sitting on a cloud talking to him, I guess this
happened a few times. My mom doesn't feel he made up what he said. It's
really interesting to know that someone is there in our times of need.

    Your story is truly special!

I have a similar story to share.

My uncle had died of a heart attack almost 2 yrs ago. About a week
after my uncle had died, my cousin was going through her father's
personal things while sitting at the kitchen table crying. My cousin's
daughter, who at the time was about 2 1/2 yrs old, was in her bedroom
playing. She came out of her bedroom and came to her mother and said
"Grampy says not to cry, everythings OK". Well, my cousin was a little
suprised and asked her daughter to repeat what she said. Her daughter
took her mother's hand and led her into her bedroom, looked around and
    said "he's not here anymore".

Well, my cousin was spooked a little bit and to this day isn't quite
sure if it was just her daughter's vivid imagination or if, in fact,
something extraordinary did happen to her.
