1182.1 | Memorial Day for us | ROYALT::CORLISS | | Fri Dec 15 1989 12:16 | 5 |
| At my mother's house things have not necessarily been more active
around the holidays, but more so around Memorial Day weekend when my
grandfather passed away. Seems that things go "bump" in the night and
the front porch light flickers all the time - his last project at my
mothers was fixing this light. Could this just be coincidence?

| I tend to have some activity in my house all year round but for some
reasons the last couple of weeks have been quite interesting and funny.
We are missing items. My family members will place an christmas card or
a hair brush in on spot and we cannot find them were we put them. Then
about an half an hour later it shows up in a spot that we know that we
check. The hair brush is still missing. I also have seen a large
spirit in the house. I don't ususally see them but they are very
active.
Anyone else enjoying these festivities in their homes.

| I have a friend in Oregon who's house spirits act up around the
holidays. Most of the time she'll stand in the entry at the bottom of
the stairs and holler, "Now give that (item) back!" Most of the time
the item will appear within about 5 minutes - **sometimes** where it was
supposed to be. :-)

| Nanci,
I give that a try and see if they listen to me. It sure is something
that adds so fun to the holidays.
Thanks,

Re. things missing around the holidays
Sounds like a case of "The Borrowers"! Anybody remember reading that
book? It has been many years for me since even last seeing a copy of
it.
