	I have found that my dreams are normally followed by a brief 
        conscious period. If at this time if I think about how I'm feeling 
        (my emotions) I can usually recognise my current emotion as the 
        same emotion I have about some current issue or event in my life. 
        It is then easy to make "sense" of the dream.

	I am interested to know if this method works for other people. If 
        you would like to help me find out simply remind yourself of this 
        method before you go to sleep and (hopefully) try it later. You can
