The recent Satanic horrors in Matamoros, Mexico, have solidified the
resolve of Christians across this great nation to help Our Lord Jesus
in his battle with Satan, in all his forms.  The courts may say that
Satanism is a legal religion, but our Lord, through the Bible, tells
us that we must not allow such evil.
 
We have formed a potent new strike force known as C.H.R.I.S.T.
(Christian Hunters Reconnaissance and Interdiction of Satanic
Terrorists), which intends to stop the imposition of Satan's New Aeon,
and send Satan's imps scurrying back through the Gates of Hell.  Our
Lord Jesus will prevail.
 
We have heard all your lies: that you are not Satanists, that you do
not sacrifice our children, that you do not worship evil for the sheer
pleasure of it.
 
Such lies may fool the gullible, the naive, the foolish, but they do
not fool us.  Not at all.
 
You will be hearing from us.
 
Should you and yours be inclined to launch some sort of magickla
attack on us, be my guest.  We will eat you alive.

That's it, gang.  No signature, no return address, a New Orleans
postmark. Let's get some comments.  We are notifying the local cops
that this threat has been made, but we don't know how seriously to
take it yet.  Alan Berg notwithstanding, there isn't a lot of violence
against Pagans in these parts, but bigotry is bigotry.

    I wouldn't put too much stock in this.  When I was in the space
    program, I once sent a letter to the major Birmingham, Ala. paper
    (either _Post-Herald_ or _Herald-Post_; memory's fuzzy) making a
    few points that then were politically unpopular in that part of
    the country.  I received a rather sizable bunch of hate mail, but
    nothing more than that.
    
    "We'll eat you alive" places it almost into the category of a put-on.

    Not that this is really related to the subject matter, but I had
    to comment on your last reply.  I moved from Florida to Birmingham,
    AL several years ago.  I thought I'd share that B'ham has gotten
    to be fairly progressive in its thinking.   We have our share of
    ignorant people, but we also we just voted as the most livable city
    in the US last week.  On behalf of the city....sorry about your
    hate mail.

    Well, to keep things in perspective, I was in the space program
    25 years ago, and little of the mail came from the city.  The
    Birmingham paper had a statwide circulation.
    
    I don't blame Birmingham hor hate mail....
