| Don't try to see more in it than is there. Burning food is usually
caused by either impatience or a lack of attention. Pay more attention
to what you're doing and turn the heat down. you should be all set.

Oh...er...sorry...(;^).
Perry - some really strange things have been happening to me too
- as if life is putting inconveniences in my way.
Perhaps there is a pattern here? Anybody else notice anything?

| I tend to get burns on my hands over a period of days when I have unexpressed
rage as I cook. I will accidentally touch the inside of the oven, the dish,
the burners that are on...owie. Some people see red; I see Mars.
This hasn't happened since I met John Mitchell.
:-}
Seriously, it hasn't happened in a little over a year. I've found other ways
to deal with anger.

This statement was made by a wise person. The excess energy is
heat... in close proximity to the food... ;-)
Actually, this has happened to me a few times in the past. But,
like Meredith, it is me that gets burned. Almost always my brain
figures out what I'm about to do, but can't get the message to
to my hand quick enough (Remote node unreachable...) to stop the
burning. Every time it does happen, it is because I'm preoccupied
or just plain rushing - you know, (zen talk -->) not living in the
'Now'...

re: .all
I'll remember to invite you all to my next dinner party...lessee,
blackened filet of soul, sparkling whine... ;^)
A few hours after entering the base note, I became quite ill;
temerature at 103.0 F and barely able to move. My spirit guide
suggested that I stop trifling with fire and spend more time working
with the other elements, and he gave me a cool drink and a section
of his tail to eat. I'm much better after a few days of bed rest,
though still a bit weak. I think that the food burning syndrome
was just a manifestation of me being sick (wandering mind, etc.).

something in my esoteric education... B^)

Gee, Mikie?, I thought that *all* spiritual transactions included
a little tail... B^>
My guide looks like a big salamander...he broke off the tip of his
tail and gave it to me to eat, muttering something about fighting
fire with fire. I started to shiver, then went through a sweat,
and the fever broke.

Just to tie the ribbon on this topic, I haven't burned anything since
I recovered from the flu. Obviously my body was too busy getting sick
to woory about food on the stove.
