933.0. "DEJAVU Party 1989!!" by ATSE::FLAHERTY (Imagine...) Mon Dec 19 1988 16:00

Been waiting for someone to suggest having a DEJAVU holiday party,
but it is getting a little late for that now. So I thought I'd
take the plunge and offer to have a post-holiday party at my house (in
Nashua, NH), probably on January 7th.

Anyone interested in helping me organize it and work out the details,
    please respond here or off-line.

    Hi Ro,

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make the 7th. Do you have an
alternative or is that a set date for you?

    Hi Carole,

That date is not set in concrete, I'm flexible. I can go with the
consensus of what's best for everyone (providing that it is a
Saturday). I wouldn't want you to miss it, so we could certainly
move it up to the 14th.

The party is a great idea but I think you should definitely shoot for a later
date to allow more of our captive participants time to read of it, to ensure
a representative body of DEJAVUies.
933.5How about...ATSE::FLAHERTYImagine...Wed Dec 21 1988 14:475
January 14th seems to be a better date for most people so I'd like
    to plan around that date.

Now that the Holidays are over, it is time to get down to some
serious partying. I've heard from several people, but I'd like
to hear from more of you.

The party is Saturday, January 14th, starting at 7:30 in Nashua.
Contact me off-line for details and directions.

Since I'm taking tomorrow off, I wanted to let anyone who had
not responded but was interested in attending the party that there
was still time to reply. The count is about 15 to 20 people.

I'll log in from home tomorrow afternoon and send directions to
    any interested folk.

Well, I can only speak for myself (and seeing that I was the hostess
it is difficult for me to be unbiased), I had a good time. From the
thank you notes I've received off-line, others did too. Didn't get to
really talk as long to as many guests as I would have liked, but others
did. Seemed like a lot of interesting personal interaction went on.

Some familiar DEJAVU faces, some new faces to DEJAVU, and some
old friends of mine who were interested in the theme. Jane Mutaf
brought a couple of friends who were Avatar trainers (a YCYOR
type of workshop) and they had some interesting things to say. I had
bought the Indian Medicine cards (someone had mentioned in a note here
somewhere) so people took a look at that. Darryl and Jenny Wagoner
played the 'Remembering Lemuria' Lazaris tape.

Cindy brought the 'Game of Endless Possibilities' and a few of
us braver souls enjoyed playing that.

Wish you could have made it Carol as I think you would have had fun.

Greetings,

Jenny and I enjoyed the party very much! We felt very comfortable from the
very start. Which Jenny has a very difficult time doing with a lot of
new faces. We wish that we could have stayed longer! All and all we
had a great time.

Thanks Ro

Darryl & Jenny
