We are starting an informal weekly meditation group in LKG.
Meditation is a form of self-development which helps to calm the
mind, remove tension from the body, and create more self-awareness
and sensitivity. Regular practice of meditation leads to improved
body/mind integration and an overall sense of personal well-being.
The group will meet every Friday from 11:45 to 12:30 in the
exercise room near the employee entrance in LKG1-1. The first
meeting will be on September 16. There will be a designated
"leader" each week who will guide the group and present new
meditation techniques. Some of the forms that will be explored
include the following:
- sound meditation
- light meditation
- silent meditation
- meditation on energy centers
- laughing meditation
- walking meditation
- dance meditation
The meditations will not be directed toward any particular
religious or philosophical leaning, nor will they represent the
practices of any formal group or institution. Everyone is welcome
to attend.
Since the room has a wooden floor, participants are encouraged to
bring mats or towels to sit on (there are gym mats available, but
they are not necessarily clean, and may be too soft to sit on
comfortably). Also, since the room is kept fairly cool it may be
advisable to bring a light blanket or shawl as well.

specific techniques, please contact us.

If you find this is successful in terms of employee interest
at LKG, would you consider making this available to other facilities?
I'm interested, but LKG is a little out of my range over lunch!

| Ram,
I have just this minute read your note. I am very interested in
joining the meditation group in LKG and as I work here it makes
it very easy. Do I have to sign up for this? How often do you
meet?
