    I don't wish to be negative, but I would not put too much trust
    in the Tarot cards' ability to make predictions about the future.
    Although I have seen some quite surprising results along those
    lines, in general they tend to be, in my experience, quite unreliable.
    
    I have found them much more useful as a way of getting in touch
    with the queriant's own present feelings and buried thoughts about
    what is going on.
    
    Even though all three readers got the same "answer" the possibility
    definitely exists that they were simply tapping (either through
    paranormal means or through subconscious reading by the Tarot reader
    of your subconscious body language) into your unconscious wishes/hopes
    for the future, rather than the future itself.
    
    I would say that you should decide whether its worthwhile to work
    towards getting back together.  That will depend on what the
    consequences of getting back together (is it worth it if you get
    back together and continually rip each other up emotionally?),
    and what the liklihood of you succeeding in getting you back together
    for a given level of effort (is it worth the effort if you must
    give up all semblence of a normal life for the next year to have
    one chance in 100 of getting back together?)
    
    In my experience, the Tarot can be very useful in examining your
    own feelings and thoughts about these central issues.

    Sadly, I have to agree which may explain why I tend to get
    confirmations of "what I want to happen" whenever I have gotten
    readings, but, in retrospect, not what really happens.  I thought
    at first that I was just not read-able, but perhaps I am just
    supposed to work on the issue of TRUST and KNOW that the best 
    for all concerned is what will happen.

    Having been to a couple of readers myself I would say that your
    emotional state means everything to how the reading comes out. 
    The readers I saw basically told me what I wanted to know which
    was what I already thought to begin with.  They sort of brought my
    underlying feelings out where I could see them for what they were,
    and deal with them.  This is useful, but any predictions that they
    make probably aren't going to happen.  It's what you think about
    what they say is going to happen that is important.  Analyze your
    fellings about the predictions and learn about yourself.

    Again, I have to agree.  I have been reading cards for about
    3 years and have found that I can influence the reading if I
    want it to say a particular thing.  Did you get these readers
    on tape?  Did they specifically say that you would be getting
    back together with this person in so many words?  This may
    indeed be true, but it could be for an hour, a night, etc.
    Also you may be getting back together in order to change and 
    resolve the relationship.  Just how specific were these readers?
    
    Something else you might consider...when I do readings for
    people I always let them know that they still have free
    choice no matter what the reading may say.  The future is
    mutable.  Nothing is written in stone.  Reading the future,
    no matter what technique is used, is sort of like taking a
    psychic urine test.  You can get an idea of what the circum-
    stances are right now and what the future might look like 
    based on that, but who knows what might happen 5 minutes
    from now?
    
    I hate to be so negative because you're obviously hurting.
    I just hope that no matter what happens you can stay
    centered and O.K. with yourself.  After all no one else
    can GIVE you happiness or serenity.  That's something
    that you have to find internally.

    Thanks for all the replies, I value the opinions and will have
    to sort them all out.
    
    The three readers that I saw all mentioned that I would be getting
    back togther with my ex-girlfriend and stated that they all saw
    marriage in the cards with her. I couldn't tell you the specific
    card that mentioned that. One also mentioned a child in the picture.
    
    I was pretty fascinated by the description they gave of my girlfriend,
    in that what was read was that she was tall, with short dark hair
    and light colored eyes. She liked to wear alot of black clothing,was
    very intelligent, worked in an office and was somewhat catty. All
    this was right on.
    
    Probably with the state of mind that I feel like I have been in
    I have been looking for a cure, a something to reestablish the 
    balance in my life that I so recently lost. I want to believe
    that this method of seeing into the future isn't so bogus and
    that I am not just getting read by my body language and physical
    presence. 
    
    But in actuall *Real* life I can't see the hope of getting back
    together at the present.
           
    So I'll just get Happy and go for it!
