<<< OCTAVE::DJA1:[NOTES$LIBRARY]UFOS.NOTE;1 >>> -< Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOS) >- ================================================================================ Note 18.0 N.Y./Conn. Sightings Updates No replies VOLGA::S_FIRMANI "objectivity prevails" 22 lines 7-JUN-1988 13:23 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The latest update in the continuing sightings in New York and Connecticut have shown that for the past several weeks at approximately the same time(between 9 and 10PM) every Thursday night a sighting has occured(which seemed somewhat convenient). Last Thursday night some light was shed on these recent occurances. A pilot flying over the Danbury, Connecticut area observed a pattern of lights in the sky and decided to take a closer look. As he approached, he overheard a conversation on his radio referring to a bogie and maintaining radio silence. Upon approaching the lights he discovered the cause of his visual observation. He noticed 8 aircraft flying in a circular formation using landing lights only. He identified some of the aircraft as a Cessna 210 (dual-engine), and some Cessna 152 and 172. At this time he realized that the bogie mentioned over the radio was none other than himself. Steve

How bizarre! A deliberate group effort to create a UFO would have been very low on my list of ways to create this effect. Ann B. | |||||

Ann... This tactic has been used earlier during this extremely long series of sightings, but has only managed to explain very few of these incidents. Steve F. |
