In some cases, the intensity of a sexual experience works synergistic-
ally with other perceptions and at (or near) the extatic point,
with some people, a perceptive channel opens. This might be what's
happened in your case. [Note for others reading: I doubt if anybody
would buy, "I need your help to heighten my psychic sensitivities,"
as a legitimate line. :-)]

(cute last line, Steve.)
I read in a book (forgot name & author now) written by a witch.
She wrote of several ways in which to cast spells. One such way
was to clear your mind, what better way than in the heat of passion.
She also said, this might not work because you were so busy
concentrating on what they were doing at the time.
Could this, maybe have some possibilities??

Because "you" were so busy concentrating on what "they" were doing?

All sorts, and not necessarily psychic. [Better be careful whom
you hang out with .... :-)]
Seriously, this technique works for _some_ people, and not for others.
However, anything that will drive the person to an ecstatic state
could work, not only sex.
And in that, I ==>definitely<== do ==>NOT<== suggest drugs.

| First some points about Altered States of Consciousness (ASCs).
Different ASCs have different characteristics associated with them.
ASCs sometimes suddenly shift from one to another, particularly if they
share some characteristics. This "just happens".
Strong sexual arousal is a type of ASC. This seems to be especially
true for women (there is evidence that the neural pathways in the brain
for sexual stimulation are, at least typically, different for men and
women). For example, some women occasionally or regularly experience
Out of Body Experiences (OBEs) during orgasm. This is unusual, but
perfectly normal.
One of the noticeable characteristics associated with sexual arousal is
"strong imagery", which is why sexual fantasies tend to be rather more
vivid for most people than they're average day-dreams (even those
dealing with sex). Other common ASCs with this same characteristic are
the dreaming state, the lucid dreaming state and the hypnotic state.
The point is, for some people, I would expect it to be rather easy to
shift from sexual arousal -- particularly close to or during orgasm (I
won't ask the obvious, overly personal question -- none of my business)
-- to a "waking dream" state. Having your brain slightly disrupted by
alcohol would seem to make it more likely. Just like the OBEs that
some women experience I would say that these were unusual but perfectly
"normal".
Were the "dreams" psychic? I don't know. I believe that the "dreams"
came from the same place that ordinary dreams came from -- the
subconscious. But it seems that some ordinary dreams bring psychic
information out of the subconscious. The dream images associated with
some ASCs seem to be somewhat more likely to contain psychic
information than ordinary dreams, but I have no way of judging whether
this particular one is has that characteristic, and even so, for most
individuals, such "psi-conducive states" only increase the likelihood
of psychic information a little. All in all, if I *had* to bet, I
would bet against it, but who knows?

| Every child of Adam possesses certain "latent powers of the soul".
These special abilities which are looked at and studied under the
title of "Parapsychology" have been categorized as i.e., Telepathy,
Teleportation, Telekinesis, and so on. Three weeks ago I watched
on Cable T.V. a documentary on the ill fated Franklin Expedition.
I watched fascinated as the bodies of the ships crew were exhumed
photographed, X-Rayed and autopsied. These men had been dead and
buried in the frozen Arctic Tundra since 1846. Their facial features
were remarkably preserved. They died of lead poisoning from the
canned meats they ate. That night over eight thousand miles away
someone very near and dear to me dreamt of me and heard me distinctly
tell her of an Arctic Expedition I was thinking of going on!!
How, why? You perhaps picked up images, "vibrations" psychic if
you will very much like a Radio Antennae just as my friend did.
Stressful situations of great emotion generate such signals and
you quite unawares simply pick up the signal. You may never ever
be able to turn it on and off like a faucet but you are sensitive
to these things and consequently receive them.

| What I am trying to say is that different people exhibit different
levels of sensitivity. Some people are simply more intuitive than
others or more perceptive. It has has nothing to do with anything
one can willfully control or learn. It has to do with ones "nature"
or spiritual disposition, if you will. This is what the Astrological
signs of the Zodiac allude to.

| Another note in which an occurance is related with the intent of
seeking help. Maybe one would recommend a way to enhance this
attribute, or "re-live" it; what if you *could* locate a missing
person?
I believe a person with a "sixth-sense" (if you will) has a gift.
It's only a curse if you fear it or mis-use it.
