| Assuming John was trying to ask a serious question, I'll give a
serious, though brief, answer.
It is a Pagan holiday, precurser to the Mayday celebrations. It
is a celebration of spring and corresponding fertility -- of plants,
animals, humans, and each person's life.

| Here are a few corrections and additions to the announcement.
Children are welcome... There will be an indoor and outdoor stage. Lady
Stephanie will be putting on a childrens theater for children of
all ages.
There will be two covered firepits for cooking. A Beltane ritual will
be celebrated in the afternoon and a Full Moon ritual after sundown.
Group participation is desired but not required.
Bring food and drink, no alcohol is allowed in the area (use your own
discretion B^), please bring beverages in something other than glass
containers. Please bring your drums and/or other insturments of music
making (bells, bowls, pipes, guitars, dulcimers, etc.
You'll be asked for a small donation for the Womans Health Clinic
and Womans Shelter.
There will also be a Crystal Show, bring your favorite crystal for
the show.
Come meet the Pagans of the Front Range...
