Are there classes that people go to on the type of things in this file. Is being psychic a gift? Could you have it and not be aware of it? If anyone knows of a good psychics will you list them for me?

There are classes in some things - Tarot, astrology, and other divination methods. There are some body work classes that might help you deal with those types of energies. There are classes in various religious traditions - Shamanism and Wicca. The classes give you the mechanics - if you are going to do anything with it, you need to do it yourself. Elizabeth

I haven't attended any classes on any of this subject matter, but I have learned VOLUMES (unintentional pun) from reading...I think Shirley MacLaines's books (especially Out On a Limb)...are great books for someone who is interested in "psychic phenomena" and is just getting started learning about it...I think the first book was "Don't Fall off the Mountain", then "Out on a Limb", then "Dancing in the Light", then "It's All in the Playing"...someone once suggested to me that I read them in order. A personal comment, though...Ms. MacLaine seems to seek most of her guidance from external sources, i.e., psychics, where she might move faster if she simply meditated and got in touch with her own "inner self", rather than relying on others to tell her things. Doug, There is one more book right after "Don't Fall Off The Mountain" and that is "You Can Get There From Here". Just started reading book 2 this weekend. Promises to be quite good - especially her McGovern campaign experience and her trip to China with a delegation of women. Cindy

The Unicorn Bookstore has classes and lectures on a variety of topics that can be lumped under the heading of psychic phenomena. I took a psychic development class from Avril Bell last October at the Unicorn. We have continued the class at her home and have had many interesting experiences as we all continue to develop psychically. |
