| I have never [knowingly] been in contact with anyone who's died
[after they've died, anyway :-)]. However, I, as probably the majority
of people who read/write_to this conference have had some experiences
that are decidedly "unconventional."
However, I don't know whether it's fair to characterize it as
"... a split between scientific belief and personal reality." There
are some scientists who are investigating paranormal events: they
are called parapsychologists; we even have one who's a member of
this cenference. What some laypersins call "scientific belief"
others such as I call "parochial science."
Dogmatic belief, no matter in what arena, is dangerous.
