    Well, I'd like to plan a Gathering at our house in Mont Vernon, NH 
    for a weekend in September.  I know it's a long way off, but summer
    is the time of vacations and many may not be able to make it.  If
    anyone else wishes to host a Gathering sooner that would be great!
    I figure you can't have too many get togethers with good people.
    We will plan on the weekend after Labor Day (9/6, 9/7) since the
    weather should still be warm.  I think Chuck's idea of a rain day
    is good so 9/6 will be the planned day and 9/7 will be the rain
    day.  With several months until then, hopefully everyone who wishes
    to attend will be able to.  Send me mail at HUDSON::STANLEY and
    I'll keep a running list.  I'll send out directions as we get closer
    to the date.  This doesn't have to be the second Gathering, but maybe 
    even the third or fourth if others want to have one at their place
    sooner. Please respond to this note with suggestions or comments.

	Hi Dave, Another gathering sounds fantastic and I'm all for it only I can't promise because it's too far in advance. One other thing, I have no idea at all where Mt. Vernon, N.H. is or how far it is from where I live (Clinton). I'm sure that by Sept. I'll have all the answers I need. Til then........... Fran

	re: .3 I just moved to Mont Vernon two months ago from Holden, MA. It is just about an hour north of Holden. Also, I work in Hudson, MA and it takes me just about an hour to commute. I'll be sending out specific directions as we approach the date. Dave

	I wasn't sure, because I had to check for a conflict with a concert I expected to attend in September, but I've learned that it will be in August instead -- so I'll attend.

	I realize that it's a little less than two months until the Gathering but I thought that it would be a good idea to put a reminder now. Newcomers to this conference will also be more likely to find this note. Just so you don't have to reread the base note, the Gathering will take place on Sept. 6 with Sept. 7 being the rain date.
