| | The trouble with "psychic readers" is that you have a great deal of dif-
ficulty separating wheat from chaff. Some thoughts about psdychic readers is
that many have a bit of telepathic capabilities; therefore, they can "pick up"
something you "alone" know.
Also, some work with more useful equipment than others. Was yours
a card reader? A scryer? A palmist?
Steve Kallis, Jr.
P.S.: I have noted one or two things in the "Tarot" note, above.

A really good professional Tarot reader I can suggest is"sandy"
at the House of Zodiac. I give her about a .75 out of a possible 1.
(House of Zodiac is in Framingham at Shopper's World, lower level.)
Even though she uses the stuffy old Rider-Waite deck ....

Ok, Merle, If you're out there... did you visit either and were
they any good? I'd be interested in seeing someone that others
    feel are talented.

I had a palm reading done once who made some pretty accurate statements
about me & my life, but whether she was reading my palm, or picking
up stray thoughts from my brain, I have no idea. I tend to believe
the later, since most of the predictions were about things that
I had just been concentrating on....(but they did come true!!)

|  |     {An incident.}
In 1974 I was in a friend's apt. in Salem MA. A nervous little guy
named Jimmy Smith was about to do a psychic-diagnosis. A former
USN seaman, he'd become a diagnostician & was quite terrified of
it. He insisted we all pray & he loudly disavowed any Satanism in
his prayer, praising God for his gifts (for which he never charged).
He soon located a spot in my mid-back/lung-region, saying it would
hurt. Two years later, after my father died, I was x-rayed during
a routine visit to HCHP/Cambridge. I was found to have a spot on
each lung, inexplicably. As a lifetime non-smoker, I was surprised.
It proved to be asymptomatic sarcoidosis, after a biopsy in 1976.
Jimmy was accurate but for the pain. My then internist Matt Budd
was miffed @ Jimmy's accuracy. He himself later become a pyschic
diagnostician & became active in INTERFACE. People can learn.

| | With so many notes on psychics, I wasn't sure where to place this,
so I figured here was as good a place as any. I just recently went
to a psychic for the first time. She read cards for me. I taped
the reading. At first, I thought she was way off base as to what
she was predicting. Some things just simply didn't seem right.
She kept saying "This will happen to you in the next year". When
I got home and listened to the tape, I realized that the things
she predicted HAD already happened in the PAST year. How did
    that mixup happen?

A girl I worked with in my part time job last
year had seen a psychic 2 months before we met.
This woman told her that someone named Paul (me)
would have a very difficult question for her. She
told me about this just after I asked her a very
tough question. The psychic also said romance would
be involved (it was) but would not last (it didn't).

I would never have believed a word if this girl hadn't
recorded the psychic session and played it back for me.
Now this lifelong sceptic can't help but wonder.

There were a few other predictions made about her that
were right on the money as well that I can't remember,
I was too taken back by the one I just told above.

Using the method of the garbage psycics use to predict
the future you must be general:
      1. Make general statements..you will meet a fair lady,
          or dark gent.
      2. Make some safe predictions, ie Bob Hope or Lucy Ball
will die this year. (safe due to their ages.)
      3. Make a few outlandish predictions using rule 1.
For example. Digital will make a good profit this
fiscal year. Digital will Introduce some new
products prior to the end of 1988.
      4. If pressed for details just make more generalities.

If you follow the above You can be a psychic too!

Yes, I am a Skeptic.. seeing is believing and maybe not
    even then.

    luck,

| | Summer 1984, I went to the Renaissance Festival in Larkspur, Colorado.
I was particularly looking for a friend whom I'd met two years prior
named Kathryn Sperske (lives in Pollock Pines, California, last
I heard, and is teaching classes in nearby areas...if anyone knows
her, please help me connect!). She was the first person to tell
me that I was actually psychic (she read my cards). The booth had
been sold to a woman who was selling clothes. I stood and stared
for a long time, still feeling Kathryn and her partner Nancy's
presences, puzzling to me. A lady walked by and stopped and stared
with the same puzzled look on her face. I asked her if she had
been looking for Nancy and Kathryn, and she said she had, and that
she needed a reading badly. She was so disappointed that I told
her I would do the reading for her. Since I didn't have my cards,
I asked her for something frequently worn by her, since I was having
success with psychomotry at the time. She gave me a necklace made
of silver and a ruby. I held it, and images of a small, blonde,
sad little girl came into my mind. She was this woman's granddaugher.
I picked up that the child missed her father, and the woman confirmed
that he had just died; I picked up that the child was not in a
good relationship with her mother and was, therefore looking to
the love that she and her grandmother had shared to carry her through.
The grandmother nearly wept, and said that she'd been pondering
a visit to her granddaughter, who lived on the West coast. She
    decided then to go.

Back to the saga of the dead younger brother! My sister went to
a psychic fair in San Jose Ca. sponsored by the Berkeley Phychic
Institute a few weeks ago. She was wondering around trying to decide
who to get a reading from, when a woman stepped out of her booth
and said that she'd like to do a reading. Diana accepted and went
inside. The VERY FIRST thing she said is "Who is this dead person
who follows you around?" Diana said "What do they look like?"
According to the psychic he was about 21 or 22 years old (the
appropriate age) and had the same features that the spiritualist
described in .0! That was really interesting. The woman went on
to tell her some other interesting things too. I just thought it
was odd that a third psychic picked up on this fellow....

that I don't think you want your palm read..I have a feeling you
want your cards read..so I said fine...this was my first time going.

I went to the card reading and she shuffled a deck of cards and
told me to pick out 15 card. Then she read them and she left me
stunned..beause she knew that I was living with my boyfriend...she
knew that he took a great interest in stero equipment..she knew
that his x-girlfriend was in the service and stationed in North
    Carolina..she knew that I had just started a new job..but she couldn't
tell me where..all she knew about the job was that it was with a
very big company...she knew how I felt about the job..she knew that
before I started working with DEC that I was into graphic arts..
she knew about a few problem (which I cannot get into) that I was
having...she knew about my ex-boyfriend...all she could tell me
about him was that he caused alot of heart-aches and that I had
gone out with him for a long period of time..she was right..I went
out with him for 7 years and yes he did cause alot of heart-ache..
she knew that I was having vistor from Florida..the list goes on..
The amazing thing about this is that she told me everything in 10
minutes...I would definitely recommed this place..

| | As a new comer into this company, I have been given my own note
book file. I am not very computor inclined. So I am apologizing
now in case I foul this reply up. I have read quite a few
entrys that I find very interesting. Now for my $.02 worth.
A few years ago, my mom took me to a woman in Massachuestts.
This woman had never met me but she did know me from reading my
mother's cards. She told me a few things that I knew my mother
had supplied the information for { I guess it was her way of breaking
the ice}. Anyway, a few of the topics she covered realy surprized
me. Such as my health. This woman was telling me that I would
end up in a hospital four different times, two different hospitals,
different states but three out of the four would be for the same
reason!!!The fourth I would be in there for at least 3 to 4 months.
Well, It happened!!! My appendix blew up!! Flooding my body with
poison. I ended up in that hospital for three and ahalf months.
Since that time I have been back in 3 different times, different
hospitals, but the same ailment{not my appendix}. She also told
me about a man that I would meet, who's name would be Earl. At
that time I knew no one by that name. Well, just within the last
two years I have met Earl. We are now engaged to married, ayear
from this July. Also she told me that I will give birth to twin
boys in the year 1990 and my nephew's wife or girlfriend will
have twin girls in 1992. I am hoping that my wedding takes place
before the birth does!!! She has been very correct in what she
had to say concerning my life. If anyone is interested in meeting
with her I will try and locate her # and address from my mom and
    submit it a.s.a.p.
        {sorry I rambled}

| 34.29 | not so strange psychic reading | WITNES::MESAROS |  | Fri Jun 23 1989 13:12 | 40 |
| | Okay, I'll try to make this one as short as possible.

I went to a psychic a few months ago at the insistence of a friend
who had gone to see her. I was very reluctant because I didn't
want her to tell me anything I didn't want to hear. Also, I used
to get very strange physical side affects (stomach aches, headaches,
etc.) whenever I met any who had any type of psychic ability.

Anyway, I made the appointment. I thought maybe she could give
me a little perspective and I like to test people who make claim
    to being psychic.

She asked what my purpose was for being there and I explained as
    above.

All I had told her was that I would like to know what she sees with
my boyfriend, my children and work.

She went into great detail about my life for the past year!!

I was in shock. Because she described my relationship and the
occurrences exactly. She also could see that I had been bringing
my daughter to Joslin Clinic because she was showing signs of diabetes.
She didn't name the clinic but knew we were having tests done.
She informed me that there was nothing that any of the doctors
could do. I had to do the work myself. She tried to convince me
that I had healing power and that my grandmother was watching over
me and encouraging me to explore this more.

To make a long story short, I followed her advice and my daughter
    is as good as knew.

This woman also went into detail about my past lives, how my daughter
is also very psychic and a catalyst for me (true).

I thought she was very informative and would recommend going to
her. If you would like more details, let me know.

| | I have been doing psychic readings for many years and have also been
aquainted with many good to excellent psychics. My experience has
been, that after I have expressed what I have seen, sometimes I either
see or hear a number and I tell the person that it will happen in a
2 or 3 etc., but I don't know if it is in days, weeks, months or years,
and I tell them that. Sometimes people will call and tell me when the
things have occured or they tell me at the reading if they have already
happened. I knew another psychic who did it the same way, but I
honestly don't know of one who can tell the past from the present or
future. One mistake I have often made is to interpret what I see rather
than just stating what I see, and invariably I am wrong in my
    assessment, (so much for intuitivness).
