| Bills are favored by three over the Raiders this Sunday. Why would
they make a 4-0 team an underdawg against a seemingly unpredictable
Bills team ? Because it's a sucker bet. Everyone and their cousin
is going to take the "easy" bet with the Raiders. Then Buffalo
will walk in and clean up.

Oops, sorry. My fingers were practicing typing that in. Since
I am not a good typist I need to practice. But by the last week

Buffalo won't do it without Housley !! Hawerchuck won't produce
like he's expected to. Mogilney loses his mind and jumps out
of an airplane at 30,000 feet. Darren Puppa, shits himself in
net. Rick Viave loses his neck brace and his hed falls off.
Foligno gets a goal and jumps through the roof never to come
down.

I never liked Wowie-Phil-Housley. Too much of a wimp. Kinda like
Ric Seiling. Glad he's gone too. We used to think that his wife,
who was a body builder, used to beat him up.

Now, now. The U.S. has much better psychological techniques than
the Ruskies. I think he'll be getting a lot more frequent flyer

I don't really know. I heard Puppa was the man but I didn't hear
about his backup. I don't get the full scoop here in Connecticut.
As for dealing with Bruins fans. One of my best friends back in
Buffalo is a die-hard Bruins maniac. He used to drive me nuts.
How could he live in Buffalo and be a Bruins fan. What a traitor!
But he was also a die-hard Dolphins fan AND to top it off, he was
a fan of our high school's arch rival in all sports. You just loved
to hate him.

| Well, Smokin' Joe Furguson was signed by the Colts. He is the oldest
player in the NFL now. Will this guy ever go away ? For those
of you who don't remember ancient history, Fergie was the Bills
QB during the O.J. Simpson era. I had to suffer through my youth
with him as QB. He was competent (at least he was when he wasn't
so old) but he just wasn't a winner (winners like Montana or Stabler or
Griese or Bradshaw). Joe was always ranked high in the QB ratings
but you couldn't count on him in the big game. I liken him to John
Elway(Yeah, I know about "the drive"), Boomer, Kosar, and Testaverde.
(BTW, did you know that Testaverde is Spanish for green testicles.)
Anyway, smokin' Joe is back.

Testaverde is not Spanish as earlier reported. As anyone knows, it comes
from Testiverde (sorta like Szabo - Sabo, Nemeth - Namath) which is ITALIAN
for green gonads.
A common affliction in Italy (where of course it is considered Macho) which
comes from eating all those green noodles and drinking green wine by the
barrel.

I was leaning towards a bigger blowout than I predicted ( I said 14
points ). But I got conservative. Now that I think about it, it's
going to be mighty cold here in New England this weekend (Low 40's ?)
and a lot of hands are gonna be cold. So when Big Bruce and Bennet
come poppin' QBs and RBs, some balls are gonna come loose (not just
the leather ones)
38-3 ??? Yep, entirely possible.

Last two years I would have agreed, but Buffalo got all their bad
attitude and complacency out in the first four weeks (as opposed to the
last 6 weeks).
The Bills will win 31-17 !!
My prediction (as was posted elsewhere in this conference) is that
Buffalo will finish with the same record as the Dolphins(13-3), but win
on a tie-breaker (that being best AFC record). Buffalo will lose only
to NFC teams (Beagles, Skins and/or Giants). The Dolphins already lost
to the Giants, they lost to the Raiders (as predicted !!!, and that
loss was the key to my tie-breaker scheme) and of course they will lose
to the Bills on Dec. 23rd.
To be honest, the only team I'm really worried about is those flippin'
Colts. They play them the week before the Giants game. Yikes !! Can
you say "lookin' ahead"? The Colts have a way of beating the Bills.

| THis is a tough game to call. This is the type of game the Oilers
win, only to lose the following week to someone they shouldn't lose
to. Also, they are tough in the dome.
The keys will be: 1. Can Houston stop Thurman Thomas? Houston's
defense is less than spectacular.
2. Can Houston protect Warren Moon. The prospect of Buffalo's
DL and LB totally dominating the line of scrimmage can't be a pretty
one for Houston. Moon could take a physical beating on Monday night.
Oilers have to try to take Bruce Smith and company out of the game.

Big whiner, but I'm a Bruin fan at heart anyhow. Sabres are lucky
Quebec are in their division or they definitely would miss the

but won't help them make it past the first round of the playoffs.

Yes this was the first time I've been in here since we lost to the Oil

1) When the Bills beat the Eagles.
2) When the Bills beat the Colts (quite handilly)
But since I am NOT like you, I decided to write a note in this topic
to admit how I WAS WRONG about the caliber of the Sabres. (something that
you will never admit about any of your teams). Since I was in the note, I
threw in a note about the Bills, which wasn't so much about Saturday's
game but more about next week's game. Tell me Dr. Mudmeister, when the
Bills make it to the AFC chamionship game (and maybe the SB) and the
Oilers can't make it out of the wild card game, will you admit that maybe,
just maybe, the Bills are a better team ?
IMO, these AFC teams are better than the Oilers:
1) Bills
2) Dolphins
3) KC (yeah, you can laugh)
4) Raiders
