| I've heard of this DEK hockey before, it seems that teams from the
Boston area are VERY good at it. From what I understand, it's played
on a special astro-turf w/ funny sticks (could someone please elaborate).
It's not popular in Canada...yet. The only time I've heard of this
was in Mtl, Patrick Roy had an invitational tournament this year. Roy
is a forward and his team is rated the best in Quebec.
Also, what does D-E-K stand for?

What does D-E-K REALLY mean? The tournament in Mtl was of
the same name (DEK).

I am not sure what DEK stands for, but I will find out today and
post it. Patrick Roy was down here in Leominster over the Summer and
played in the International Championship which is held here, the wierd
thing is, he didn't even play goal, he also had Stephan Lebeau and
Lefbvere or somthing along that line, all current Montreal Canadien
Players. The Surface is a plastic grate...It is just a bunch of
interlocking squares. You must use a plastic stick on it also...
