| I have a Thermos gas grill, and was wondering just what type
of generic rotisserie I should purchase to enhance my grilling pleasure.
Sometimes I like to grill big things on the rotisserie, like pigs,
and sides of beef.
Can any of you generic rotisserie type people make a suggestion for purchase?
Thank you,

Dickster, the shroom harvest has been off lately. Without the
shrooms, Jimi doesn't come over as much, and therefore I find it
hard to retain that youthful quality...
I'm hoping Jimi brings that new guy the next time he comes over.
Some kid from Texas who can really play....

| RE: pigs and beef.
a 1/2 horse motor is plenty. bolt to steel plate, weld plate to
cooker. use a chain drive and gears (just like a bike).
the biggest potential problem is the spit. Good one inch pipe is fine
for the pig, but if you are really trying to barbecue a cow, it'll bend
too much, and it'll drag the motor. Don't try to keep the cow spinning!
Move it, baste it, and leave it alone... then rotate some more, baste
it and leave it alone.

Getting back on track....
Walt,
We have Rod Bernstein defined as a RB in our league. Everybody knows he's
projected to play a majority of his downs at RB this year. We felt it would
be cheating if somebody picked him up and called him a tight end.

Doesn anybody know what the status of Marcus allen is this year? is he going to
be backup tailback behind greg bell? or is he switching to fullback?

Speaking of bud, how many cases are recommended for doing a cow?
But seriously folks, one thing I have *always* wondered is why on
earth do they call it *rotisserie* league.
It has nothing to do with barb-b-que, it has nothing to do with
cooking whatsoever. I mean, they could have called it dyslexia
league, or kiwanis league or whatever...why rotisserie?

| Rotisserie League Baseball was developed in a now-defunct New York City
restaurant called La Rotisserie, hence the name. I believe either
Peter Golenbock and/or Daniel Okrent (noted, but not necessarily good)
baseball writers were involved.
I'll save my personal opinions of the activity for another time since I
believe I'm sort of out of the mainstream here.

| I;d like to know what other leagues people are in, what stats they use,
what prizes there are, what they like/don't like about the rules, what
kind of novel rules you have, stuff like that...
I'll start by saying I'm in 2 DEC Hoop leagues, 1 non-DEC hoop league,
and they all use Points/Rebs/Asts/Def. I'm in 1 DEC baseball league,
and 1 non-DEC baseball league, and they use the same (std) pitching
categories (W, S, ERA, Ratio) and batting is (BA, HR, RBI, SB) in one
and (BA, HR, Runs Produced (Runs+RBI-HR), SB)...
I love all the leagues, and we are trying out some unique 'blind
auction' rules next Monday in a brand-new hoop league (dubbed the BRA -
easy, 'Saw, it stands for Basketball Rotisserie Association :-)...
The outside leagues are minor money leagues, ($50 for the winner), but
I have a blast wheeling and dealing in all of them...

bleachers? How's Lynne anyway? ha ha...
Well, the defending DEC-FFL champs made some changes, but are
looking to do that r-thing the 2-time W.C. (tm) Detriot (tm) Pistons
are doing...
QB - Cunningham, Kreig
RB - Anderson, Sanders, E. Smith, Highsmith, L. White
WR - Reed, Rice, Givins, Hill
TE - Holman, Bernstein (commish gave me the option)
K - Norwood
C - Fontes
I'm also in MRL, JAR, SAFN and BLB baseball rotisserie, and the DEChoop
league...
How many keepers do the other DEC-FFL leagues have? We went from
12 to 15....

Walt, I sweat EVERYWHERE! Hell, it's pouring off me in buckets as I'm
sitting here writing... That's the price of being a 'shroomhaid(tm) ;^)
Seriously, I've always sweat a lot, and I finally found a sport where
EVERYBODY sweats a lot -- rugby (well, the backs don't sweat much, but
the forwards are really damp by the end of practice/game 8^))
So, now I can sweat my ass off, and no one cares....
Lynne is fine. In fact I saw her last weekend and she's lookin'
better than ever... Might see her tomorrow (I hope), if we can
connect at the game.
I'm not in any rotisserie leagues, but if I was, I'd probably sweat
there too.....
8^)

I resemble that remark Jesse! My team, the Los Angeles Wave, was,
and I stress, was, the most inovated, spirited, team in the league
this season. So what, I only went 6-8 and got bumped out of the
playoffs. I lost four games by less then a fieldgoal, and two by
less then ten points. Now considering my franchise has moved from
Dallas, where we were the Steroids, to Sacramento, then to L.A., all
in two years; along with dealing with three coaching changes. I'd
have to give my boyz a pat on the back. Plus your 52-33 win against
me was luck, and you know it Scurvy.
Well, gotta go pack,..we be movin' to Japan, where we will be known
as The Tokyo Assassins for next year. I swear,..it's the last move.
Shut up JoJ...
