It has come to my attention that there is a preponderance of East Coast noters going 'Vane crazy. You hear people like the Dinz say that they have been Oilers fans for years. The Doc is vaning way more than he ever has before. Why I even heard via the grapevine that RCASO is now rooting for the Yankees (but his IS NO TWO BLAM!!!)... After much investigation, I have discovered that the Vane-Center has shifted. Before a few weeks ago, the Vane-Center was approximately in the Colorado area. Now, according to my detailed calculations, extrapolations, ruminations and constipations, it would seem that all the scientific evidence points to a shift in the Vane Center of approximately 2000 statute miles, to an area roughly centered in the tri-state area. This new Vane-Center is causing and increased Vane-Effect, and from all of my empirical data would appear to be because Wardlevane has moved east to New Jersey. I have bought some time on the NOAA Satellite to keep track of this new phenomenon, and will report more as time goes by.... Chainsaw PS Vane-Center(tm) is now tm'd....

Bruce, glad you noticed it. It's been bothering me, too.
Glad to see he's incomprehensible again.
Dinz, are you back to typing with your gloves on? I can remember
visiting you back in Lawrence, where you would talk to me, be on
the phone with someone, be checking something on the fiche viewer,
and noting, all at the same time. It made for some memorable notes
from you. Keep up the good work.
