| Metz, we beat Army last weekend to go 7-2. We play Harvard at home
today. If the schedule holds true to form, we're at Rutgers this
weekend and then off until next Saturday's game at Syracuse. We've
lost to Yale and Cornell, beaten Army, Providence, St Johns, UNH,
Dartmouth and 2 others who I still don't know - but I guess would
be Brown and BC.

good,
the army game is always a tough one for us. I wish we'd beaten Cornell.
I'm suprised the Hopkins at 4-4 is ranked so highly. I know they are a LAx
powerhouse but...4-4 ???
Let me know if you find out when we have a weekend home game...
thanks,
Metz

| I don't know but a bunch of them have been accused of a gang rape.
Don't know any of the details.
By the way Metz, I don't think our alma mater has any more weekend
home games and if there's no game in the middle of next week, today
may be the last home game of the season. I don't think we're going
to be ranked highly enough to get any home playoff games either.
The loss to Cornell is really going to hurt them.

There are some who argue that it is the only true American sports,
since it was played by American Indians. Baseball is attributed

Is that where the term 'Chinese home run' originated?
Or the term 'Owen Tu' for a guy with two strikes on him?
And what ever happened to Chief Knockahomah?

| UMass lost to Harvard yesterday 18-15. UMass is now 7-3 with games
remaining at Rutgers and at Syracuse.
The Harvard - Yale lacrosse game this year should be great. Yale
is still unbeaten at 14-0 and Harvard is 9-1.

5. North Carolina 8-2 120
6. Loyola, MD 8-2 108

13. Rutgers 7-4 37
14. Maryland 5-5 18
15. Penn State 10-5 11
UMass beat BC yesterday (but after the poll came out) 20-13 to improve
its record to 9-3. Metz, since Brown lost to Yale and beat Harvard
and since Brown has 2 losses, I'm guessing that we beat Brown early
in the season.

ouch...:-(
Btw the globe actually had a good article on garber in yesterdays paper. I was
amazed to see an well thought out and written article on anything pertaining
to UMass in the Globe. They usually do a hatchet job on anything pertaining to
UMass....
John...Don't the 8th and 9th place teams play the first playoff game to
determine who gets the 8th seed in the LAX tourney? I seem to remember UMass
going down to Penn 2-3 years ago for one of these 1st round matches. I hope
they manage to have 1 last home game for Garber's Gorillas....

| Last year, 12 teams made the NCAAs, and I assume there will
be the same number of teams this year. One spot is reserved
for a "western" school. (Teams as far west as Ohio were being
considered for a "western" spot last year).
