Are there extra points given for pro-Whale sentiment?
Do we have to live in your geographic area in order to pick up the

Does it help if we praise the Whale coach, too?
Does the Debil have anything to do with this?

| Well, I'm not in any way, shape, or form, billing myself as
a contest judge.
I'm simply moderating this contest (suggested by Mr Cook) in a way
which I hope is fair, equitable, and triumphantly excellent.
The late entry (.28) by rights should probably not be allowed, but there
are times when I fail to get in here any given day. With that
in mind, I'm leaving it up to the other contestants. Just trying
to be fair...not even objective, just fair...
Besides, this contest is a lock... Everyone will know the results
the day the Whalers get knocked out of the Cups playoffs. I won't
even have to announce them, really....
Party on dudes,

Why don't you hang on to them. When we announce the winner, we can
do it like they do on the radio: We'll put them on hold, finish
the broadcast and then get their mailstop...8^)
And as to my pick in the series, which is not official because I'm
not entered in the contest... Anyway, all the Giants fans will know
that I never never never predict. When I do I'm always wrong.

| Well, folks, I thought about it over the weekend, and, being a person
who 99.9% of the time does what I say I'm going to do, I'm drawing the
line.
I'll only accept entries to the contest time stamped prior to the start of
the first game of the series, which would have been 5 April, 1930 EST.
I realize the contest came on kind of quick, but it was suggested to
me at the last minute....
In case anyone *doesn't* know, at the point the series is even at 1,
with 11 total goals scored.

| Okay, we've covered the bases on who wins the Contest should the
Bruins win, but we didn't cover the bases if the Whalers wins.
There were two hearty souls who did not pick the Bruins: Cap, and
Jimbo McKay.
Normally, assuming a Whalers win, I would have left the two of them
in the running for the next round. Unfortunately, Cap had the Whalers
up against the Sabres, and Jimbo didn't pick the Whalers opponent.
AFter talking to the two of them, then, should the Whalers win, the
contest will again be opened for their series against the Canadiens.
Cap and Jimbo agreed with this as long as they got credit for picking
the Whalers. Should the Whalers win, I'll announce that....
Should the Whalers win tonight, watch for an announcement about the
nexted phase of the contest. Should the Bruins win, prepare your
congrats for Paul.....

| Well, Congratulations to Paul Yankowskas, (and the dreaded Bruins!)
Don Pardo, please tell Paul what he's won:
Well, Paul, you've won a set of Old Fashioned Glasses
with the UConn logo on them. Made memorable by this
year's NCAA playoff team, lead by Senior Point Guard
Tate George, these glasses increased in value when
Jim Calhoun was named Coach of the Year.
You've also won a lifetime supply of Jiffy Time popcorn.
When it's the right time, it's Jiffy Time!
And you've won a free demonstration of Wesson coooking
oil in your home, by Miss Wessonality herself, Florence
Henderson!
And, finally, Paul, you've won the opportunity to pour
some Jack Daniels into one of those glasses, add a little
ice, and invite the Chainsaw up for a drink.....
Thanks Don, and thanks to all our sponsors...
