Guess I'll start it out..
I know Tulane re-instated their basketball team this year. Does anyone
know if they have re-joined the Metro, or whether they are planning to?

I have a copy of the Cincinnati Bearcat basketball schedule. As you
may or may not know, they are in the Metro Conference. They are
scheduled to play Tulane twice. From this indication (as well as my
'hometown' "sources") I believe they have rejoined the Metro.

Metro Conference
----------------
1. Louisville
2. Cincinnati
3. Southern Mississippi
4. Memphis State
5. South Carolina
6. Florida State
7. Virginia Tech
8. Tulane
This is also roughly the current standings in the Metro. 4 teams have
15 or more wins. Louisville is sure to make the NCAA tourney and I
think there could be 2 more bids divided among Cincy, Southern Miss.
and Memphis State. Not bad representation for an 8 team conference.

Louisville beat Southern Mississippi 83-80 to win the Metro tournament.
The tournament ran exactly as seeded with the higher seed winning each
game. These same two teams made the NCAA Tourney. Cincinnati and
Memphis State made the NIT. Good luck to all the Metro teams in the
tourneys.
