Yes, you can. Just disconnect MUC the slave unit doesn't need MUC, and
connect serial cable to unit 1 of the master unit (LUN 1 for the MUC).
See manual for multiple units config.

| Hi Tran
Which manual(s) should we be looking at to plan and execute the
connection of a slave to a master? The 'Facilities Planning &
Installation Guide'? The 'Service Guide'? Other?
Thanks!

| On p.4-25 of the 'TL82X Facilities Planning & Installation Guide', I
read:
"If you have multiple units attached to one another, you must
cable each of them to the MUC. The required cabling is in the
Cabinet-to-Cabinet Attachment Kit (P/N 6205016) and is purchased
separately"
To my knowledge, I haven't ordered this kit. Must I have this, in
order to attach two towers together? If so, what should I be ordering?
On the same page, I also read:
"Refer to Document 6207127, 'TL82X Cabinet to Cabinet Mounting
Instructions', for instructions on how to mount to cabinets for
a multi-unit configuration."
That isn't a Digital document part number; where can I find/order it?
Thanks!

3754.4 | We don't carry all kits.. | SUBSYS::TRAN | Straight <Left> Hitter.. | Tue Jun 03 1997 22:36 | 6 |

If you wan tot convert master to slave you have to order cab-to-cab kit
from ATL. In there, there is a document which is not a DIGITAL p/n. If
you order TL82x-AC or TL893/896-AC you will get the kit.
