Hi, This is my time to configure a TL812 tape library. Hopefuly someone can help me on the following queries: 1) What is the max number of host adapter (KZPSA) support on TL812? 2) What is the cable for connecting TL812 and KZPSA? Is it BN31G (HD 64 on both ends)? 3) What is the recommended number of adapters for reasonable performance? I need the information urgently for complete the proposal. Many thanks, Patrick

Hi Patrick, The TL812 comes configured to use 4 SCSI Adapters (KZPSA's are always preferred). There are several cable possibilities, BN21L-xx, BN21K-xx are usually used (xx is length, NOT TO EXCEED 15M!) You can put 2 drives/bus without any noticable performance degradation since the bus is capable of handling the throughput of 2 narrow tape drives... Joe |
