3729.0. "Datacompression on TLZ7L" by MUNICH::CUZUM () Fri Apr 18 1997 11:17
Hi, magtape-wizards,
don't laugh, I'm a bloody beginner with this:
A customer wants to know if TLZ7L supports data compression and how it
works. Does it work by hardwareswitches and softwareswitches, too? And
how do they work? What tapes/capacities are supported?
Thank-you in advance.
Regards,
Corina

The TLZ7L supports data compression. For all READ cases
the drive will automatically select the right density and compression.
For the WRITE cases compression is controlled by sofware switches.
What operating system are you planning to use ?
