Hello,
I have a customer who has a TLZ7L-VA,in doing a vdump to the device
no errors are shown, however it has been found that some tapes
show ADVFS I/O ERROR on vrestore.
The errorlog shows ASC/ASCQ of 3100 - MEDIUM FORMAT CORRUPTED.
I notice there have been a couple of similar entries for this
problem,2334,3205 and 3355.
The complete unit has been replaced to no avail.
The customer is running DEC-UNIX V3.2C on a DEC3000-800,the
tape unit being installed in a BA350 connected to a PMAZ
I would be grateful for any help with the above.
regards
tony melling

PMAZ, PMAZB or PMAZC? If the single channel version, do a title search in the DIGITAL_UNIX conference and the archived conference that preceeded it to see what problems there were with the original PMAZ module on Alpha systems. A low numbered note of the DIGITAL_UNIX conference should have the name and location of the preceeding conference. | |||||
