Hi, Customer asked me how he could choose the next slot. Now I know there is MRU but is there any other way? He is using a Tz877 connected to a dsd30 by a dssi bus. Thanks in advance for any help. Claire UK CSC

Well, there's the front panel of the drive. There is also the suite of layered products that use MDMS; HSM, SMFS, SLS and ABS (I assume this is VMS, since nothing else supports DSSI). The point of MRU is provide this function. Is there some reason they can't use MRU? | |||||

If the customer needs to overwrite good data ;-) they have to confirm this on the front panel of the drive. Or use MRU. Guenther |
