Customer has an Alpha 2100 with a TZ86 tape drive running Windows NT 3.51 Service Pack 4. Windows-NT will intermittently report that the tape drive is not accessible. The date of the dlttape.sys is 5-26-95 and it looks like the rev is 4318(at least this is what is shown from the registry file on the tz86). Has anyone heard of such a problem? In the meantime I sent the customer to our web page to pull the old DECTAPE.zip file and install this one. He thinks he has loaded this as well, but since the problem is intermittent he does'nt remember. He said that it has gone a month without failing before. Always rebooting resolves the problem though. Ed, We are currently having the same problem here. NT 3.51 , sp5 , 2100 with kzpaa. We have swapped tape and controller no change. Customer runs Arcada backup software. We are currently waiting for the customer to load firmware from the 3.9 cd that we have just received. He has loaded new drivers. It got worse when he upgraded his firmware from the 3.7 cd. If the firmware update does not fix it I will do a CAPE entry (IMPT). Customer is VA Medical. If you have a fix please let me know. Dayton,Oh.
