    Colorado beat the Kings last nite 3-1, in a game where they had 52
    shots on net, including 29 in the 1st period alone!!! The NHL record
    for most shots in a singlt period is 33 (Boston vs ChicaGO IN 1941, i
    think).
    
    The Avs scored only once in the 1st on Stephane Fiset.

    	Avs are in Mtl this Wed (Patrick's return). I can bet ya that each
    newsmedia in Mtl is after the scoop as we speak. This is the kind of
    dirt these dirtbags are after. Mind you, Roy deserves the crap he's

    Someone here gave me 'part' of the scoop.
    Apparently Patrick and some teammates were in Colorado Springs for
    some good cause thing.
    
    Roy got in a fight w/ a 'computer scientist' of 31 yrs old.
    They're both facing a max $500 fine and 90days in prison. (read. won't
    happen).
    
    So.....who at Digital got into it w/ Patrick. :*)

    Get this; apparently the guy that 'stopped'(ie. stepped in) the fight
    was none other than Adam Foote. Somehow I believe we'd get the whole
    story if Bobby T was still driving a lift for DEC. :*)

    APPARENTLY :*), Patrick didn't think the musAc was load enough. He
    asked the "dj"(?) to 'pump up the volume' but nothing was done....so
    he took it upon himself to crank'her up. Some took exception to that
    and the 'scrum' ensued.

    Now I know why they won't miss Simon, at least in this series. The
    Hawks tried to goon it up (Probert, Cummins) but ended up giving PP
    opportunities (3/7 at last count). Forsberg and Sakic on a PP is maybe
    better than Jagr-Lemieux. 
    
    You can use that 'negative' thinking all you want Les, it'll be over
    in 4; 5 if the Avs let up in Game4.

    The Avs fans were really nice to me (especially the one I bought a beer
    for to let me sit in front of the only (out of 72 TVs) that was showing
    the Blues/Wings game).
    
    I don't think any of them had a clue that the Blues would be thier next
    opponent if they beat the hated Wings (and Dallas wins). Luckily, I'll
    be back home by then. :-)))

    	While I'm in the land of the Nords err Avs,  I thought I'd look
    around at some sport stores.  Do you have any "ice hockey stuff?"
    (local term).  "No, do you want Bronco stuff or Basketball stuff?" 
    	Then I found a clothes store where the woman behind the counter had
    a french accent. What ho, gotta be Canadian.  Yep she's from Montreal
    and will be moving to Ottawa shortly.  She points me to the Avalanche
    stuff which she has just marked down 20% and I pick up some nice t's
    and a couple hats.  She told me she still has a hard time remembering
    that people looking for Pat Roy shirts are really asking for Patrick
    Roy(pronounced in french) shirts.

    Well I had a visit from a popular former noter yesterday.
    Yes, none other than Bob Torrens aka Bobarado. 
    You would not believe what I seen. He had his hair cut.
    I mean really cut for Bob's standards. He said he just
    finished school and did really well. Starting a job for
    the summer with Consumers Gas in Whitby. Talked for a while
    and laughed are heads off. If anyone is interested in contacting

    I noticed the Avs lost Keith F Jones for the playoffs.  That'll be a
    big loss, especially if the Avs need to get physical.

    Up here in Canada, we only got to see most of the 3rd because of 
    the Habs-NJ game. TSN just had to show the Mario's Au Revoir game.
    
    At least it was only 3-3 at the time we tuned in.
    
    About Jones; what happenned?

    Andy, I'm sure that Edmonton hopes that the Avs feel the way you
    do.....they outshot Colorado 40+ to 20+ yesterday and now they get them
    at home...they're probably feeling pretty good about chances.

    How can a team feel good being down 0-2 and outscored 9-2 in the first
    two games?!?! Sure they outshot the Avs, and played very well, but they
    still have to beat Roy, who seems to be in great playoff form...as
    usual.
    
    Plain and simple, the Oilers have their backs to the wall...and I'm
    sure that doesn't make them 'feel good' at all...:*)

    Pete, they may have some 40-odd shots on Roy but how many were
    what CBC calls; Quality chances. They can't seem to get in close
    on Roy and he's giving humongous rebounds and nobody's there to
    pick'em up. Roy is indeed playing well; he's played as good as when
    he had a Robinson-Chelios-Langway-???? as his D.
    
    At the other end, Joseph, has played OK. Definitely not good enough
    to win a playoff game.

    Yea, Andy....the AVs are showing a good power play...it looks like that
    that is the only way they can score  ;-).   It helps that if they look
    like they're having trouble on the 5 on 4's, the ref goes out of his
    way to find something else to give them a 5 on 3  ;-)

    The first game lived up to the billing. Good action, good goaltending,
    fun to watch. It seemed at times that more goals could have been scored
    if both teams weren't looking for the perfect pass. Detroit in
    particular I felt should have taken more long shots on goal through
    traffic with the hopes of a deflect or a rebound. 
    
    The only down side... no fights.  ;*)

    Who on the Avs is there to fight? Since Simon's gone and Foote was
    told NOT to fight at all cost, no one's left (Severyn doesn't play
