Acton Beacon (local newspaper) ran an article yesterday on the increase
in reported coyote sighting. The article also indicated that there had
been an increase in disappearances of cats reported to local vets by
there owners. Dr.Smith of Great Rd Veterinary Hospital commented that
older and/or sick cats and dogs are easy prey for coyote packs.
These reports make me even more concerned about family pets that I see
tied/chained outside or left unattened to roam.
