477.2Marlboro Vet recommendation neededEVELER::GUNDEWARTue Feb 25 1997 09:268
We just got ourselves a 14 week golden retriever puppy this past weekend. I am
looking for a good vet in the Marlboro and surrounding towns. If there are any
recommendations pls post them here or send me mail directly.

Any help would be much appreciated....

Thanks in advance.

477.3A vote for Framingham Animal Hospital!ALFA1::MASONThe law of KARMA hasn't been repealedTue Feb 25 1997 09:4416
    I highly recommend the vets at Framingham Animal Hospital, which is on
    Edgehill Road on the Framingham/Sudbury boarder, just off of RT 20.
    They were wonderful with my dog Seneca, helped her from a well dog to
    an elderly and sick dog, and were amazing in their support when I had
    to put her down.

    Now, with my young dogs,they've been equally as good. Dr. Rabeau, who
    is the owner is a fine surgeon. The other doctors there, as well as
    all of the staff are helpful and caring. I can't say enough good
    things about them.

    With that said, there is one vet there who I wouldn't use because she
    has limited people skills, and I find her hard to work with. If you
    contact me off line, I'll give you her name.

477.4Northboro Animal Hospital is goodNETCAD::P_CROSSTue Feb 25 1997 09:545
All 5 of my animals are seen by the doctors at VCA Northboro. I'm a bit less happy now that they're
owned by VCA, but the doctors there are excellent, especially Drs. Scandura and Veo.

    I highly recommend Hudson Animal Hospital, they have been treating
    my dogs for over 10 years now.

    The 3 doctors and staff are excellent and they have evening and
    Saturday office hours.

477.62nd vote for FraminghamMROA::WHITMORETue Feb 25 1997 14:1113
    I second the vote for Framingham Animal Hospital. My vet is Terri
    Nord. She doesn't hesitate to refer you to the best of the best to
    make sure you have all of your options open to you. She's also
    extremely patient and kind with both animals and people - she's treated
    my goldens, all of whom have had serious and unusual maladies, with the
    utmost care. I used to live quite far away from Framingham and still
    drove there whenever something needed attention.

    You should also be aware they have 24 hour coverage, which many vet
    hospitals dont have (Many of them send you to Tufts in Grafton, which
    is not only expensive but much less personal, IMHO.)

        I would also reccomend Hudson Animal Hospital, and particularly
        Dr. Essington. I live in Millbury now and take my dogs (4)
        locally for shots and such but for serious problems or surgery
        I will go see her at HAH.

477.9Another vote for Hudson ICS::LAJEUNESSETue Mar 04 1997 08:296
    Here is another vote for Hudson Animal Hospital. I use Dr.
    Pedduzzi(sp) for my two dogs and would use Dr. Essington without
    question.  They are both great.
