6719.0. "RAID450 and large RAIDsets and number of disks supported per RAIDset" by SUTRA::16.36.3.62::Bats (Speeding, speeding, I'm always speeding) Mon May 26 1997 10:55
On a RAID450 the maximum amount of disks in RAID 3/5 set is
14 correct? Which gives 13*9GB=117GB useable storage.
However a customer needs 130GB of available storage.
And he wants to connect this to a Windows NT Cluster using
Digital NT Clusters software.
This disallows the use of host/OS software striping/volumesets
or equivalent, which would otherwise have enabled the
possibility to bind two smaller ones together to the
required dimension.
Any possibility to make one RAIDset (partition) that would
be at least 130GB to the OS?
