Hi,
I have a customer that would like to monitor his raid arrays from
OpenVMS. He has the following configuration.
Alphaserver 4100 running OpenVMS V6.2-1H3 no graphics.
KZPSA to HSZ50
HSZ50 has 2 X 8 member raidsets with 3 SPARESETS HSOF V5.0Z
He would like to know if a drive fails in one of the raid arrays.
Also to be able to monitor the status of the disks from OpenVMS.
From what I can see there is Storageworks Command Console but this
appears to only support NT and Digital Unix. There is also Storageworks
HSZ40 Contoller Utility for OpenVMS does this work for HSZ50? Is
there a new utility for the HSZ50. The HSZ50 configuration guide
talks of SET HOST/SCSI device_name our 6.2 system does not know of
the /SCSI quilifier and a V7.1 system fails to find
HSZTERM$SCSIPAD.EXE
Any input appreciated
Thanks Dave Bono (MCS London)

SWCC ( STorageWorks Command Console ) will monitor Raid arrays on OSF,VMS,and Windows NT. The display only runs on Winbdows NT or Windows NT. Steve P. | |||||
