6647.0. "Redundant Power, AS4100" by ACISS2::HESSELBERG () Fri May 02 1997 10:18
    I had a customer who experienced power supply zero failure on a alpha
    server 4100. When I had arrived on site "PS0 Failure" was in the
    display panel and there was no response on th "VT320". The system had
    two power supplies, ps0 and ps2.  I replaced PS0 with PS2 until I could
    return with a spare power supply. After I did this the display then
    showed "Alpha Server" but I still had no response on the VT320. I
    found a bad cable to the console. The customer at this point was
    concerned with the idea of a redundant power supply system that appears
    to not function the way it is intended. Sooooo my question is if I
    would have had a working console would the system have come up ok with
    a "PS0 failure" showing in the display panel?

    Thanks,
