I have a customer that has been upgrading many disks recently and has run into a problem upgrading RZ28b from 003 to 006 using hsutil. He told me he keeps getting abort code 5. I have had him check the obvious procedures, file size, etc.. Is there a problem using hsutil to upgrade the RZ28B?

how did you get the firmware file on the HS? Do NOT use tape to transport the code! Do not use Kermit with BINARY set as the type! Either will mess up the file structure of the firmware. Use KERMIT with IMAGE set as type. Or Pathworks or VMS copy or FTP. | |||||
